When I go to raid my parents safe room for any extra money, I make sure that my friends don't see where I'm headed. It's not that I'm being selfish or anything, but I know I can't trust them to have any self control when they see a room full of more money they will ever see I'm their life. So I keep that a secret.

After pocketing a few hundred bucks, I go to my room and grab my huge, black camping backpack from my closet. The others already have a weeks worth of stuff packed, but not me.

I grab some clothes and a mini fan I always keep in my room (you know how I get hot easily). I also grab my toothbrush and other materials I'll need. And Dean has made already made a list of the things we need.

List for Epic Road Trip

Baby carrots, sandwiches, grapes, energy bars and drinks
Water Bottles
Flashlight and Batteries
Pillows and Blankets
Paper towels
Toilet paper
First aid kit

We already have everything covered except the keys and something that Dean had completely forgotten. Phone chargers for cars.

Since I was the only one that had remembered and luckily enough my parents are addicted to their phones and have a big supply of them.

I run downstairs and grab the spare keys to the truck on my way. I keep them in my pocket knowing I should keep them safe in case of an emergency.

"What the heck...... NOAH!!! WHY DO YOU HAVE A WHOLE CABINET FILLED WITH PEANUTS? This was never here before!!!" Patryk screams while throwing various foods (mainly junk food) into a bag. "Peanuts are, like, my worst fear." He backs up in terror as Jake grabs a pack of them and throws them over him. Patryk spazzes out over dramatically and fakes dead.

Kyle immediately rushes to the ground and screams, "Why, Jake! Why would you do this to an innocent pack of peanuts??" He grabs all the peanuts he can and shoves them into his mouth. Patryk hops right back up.

"No, seriously, why so many peanuts?" Patryk says, brushing peanut dust out of his dark hair.

"My dad started doing this thing for a company called Kar O Peanuts and he sells their peanuts to people." I look around, "Where's Dean?"

"He's personalizing the trailer." Jake pops another peanut into his mouth, laughing.

I start towards the garage and hear Kyle behind me say, "I want to work for Kar O Peanuts when I grow up."

I pull the garage door open and look to see that Dean has everything perfectly set up. All our supplies in the right places and spare gas.

"I'm literally the only one who is doing anything." Dean complains as he throws our bag in the back. "Do you have the spare keys?" Dean opens his hand wanting me to toss them to him. I know better.

"I couldn't find them." I say walking into the trailer. Lying comes as naturally as telling the truth for me and I'm pretty much immune to guilt. But this is necessary. When in a life or death situation I have no doubt that Dean would be the first one to turn on us. It will never happen, but just in case.

"Are you sure?" Dean says looking a bit worried, "We might need them in an emergency."

"Yeah, but I brought some phone chargers, since we can't go on a road trip without them!" I pull out three phone chargers that connect to the car. I would've had more but my parents brought the others for their business trip.

"Ah, thanks, that would be awful if I forgot." Dean says, putting them into a drawer with the flashlights and batteries in them.

Patryk runs in with a huge box of chips and snacks.

"I think this is all we need!" Patryk exclaims as he throes the box into the trailer carelessly.

We start up the car and I show them the money and Dean says it should be enough to last us for extra food and gas.

Patryk is already sitting on the top bunk of the trailer calling dibs. Me and Dean look at each other knowing that's not the best idea. But we won't tell him that.

After I have settled in the front passenger seat and Patryk in the back middle, we have everything. Dean is about to start the car when I realize....

"Hey, where are Kyle and Jake?"

"Oh yeah!" Dean pulls the key out of the car and jumps out. Kyle and Jake walk in a few seconds

"Hey, what were you guys doing?" I ask coming out the other side.

Jake glances quickly at Kyle, "Uh, nothing..." He says climbing into the back seat.

I don't even want to know, so I don't ask again.

By now we have everything perfectly set up in the car, thanks to Dean.

"I can't believe we are actually doing this." Kyle says as he closes the side door of the truck.

Dean starts the car again and slowly drives out of the garage, the trailer following behind. Once we exit the garage, the door to the garage slowly closes and we're finally off.

We all roll down the windows and turn up the radio and our trip is just beginning.
