Adora punched a few targets as Shadow Weaver was clapping her hands to show her enthusiasm. I was sitting near the practice room watching her being as perfect as usual. I couldn't help but think that Adora was always going to be better than me at almost everything. She was so smart and yet ridiculously strong.

I couldn't help but keep on watching her kick all of them one by one as her golden hair flew around along with her sweat beads.

I was lurking while hiding in the locker room, too scared to come out and face the fearless woman Shadow Weaver was. In fact,t the only person she didn't hate was Adora. She always praised her. Well, I completely understand why; the way she looks can literally make anyone get on their own knees.

Adora was my best friend and truthfully, despite my envious feelings over her being overall amazing, I've always enjoyed her company. I would get those butterflies in my stomach whenever she would be around and I couldn't help but tease her. Her reactions were always so smooth and cute, I can't help myself but to feel this numb happiness whenever she smiles back at me.

Adora put her stick down and headed straight to the locker room. I looked down as if I was minding my own business. She let her hand touch my hair a little bit and giggled. I looked up at her beautiful blue eyes as she let her smile shine.

- Fancy looking at the floor? she asked with a monotone voice.

I grinned at her and sat on the bench while lending her a cup of water. She swallowed it all as if she hadn't drank anything in ages. She then put back on her jacket and fixed her beautiful golden hair. I stared at the picture of  both of us when we were younger. Adora was missing a tooth, yet that gave her a cuter note.

- I can't believe your tooth grew back. I teaser her.

She blushed mildly and laughed a little bit. She took the stick that was stranded on the floor and invited me to join her training. I obviously said yes, too excited to spend more time with the only person who made me lose my mind.

Adora decided to practice against those evil princesses, which we were convinced only wanted the worst for us. We would fight recklessly against the androids designed for practice. Adora and I were a good team.

I kicked a bunch of those princesses as if it was really a war. I always wondered why they were so evil, but my job was to eradicate them at once. When we were younger, Shadow Weaver would tell us this horrible story about how our ancestors got massacred by those bloodthirsty pretty looking ladies.

In fact, that made me so mad, I wanted to go out to kill each single one of those monstrosities. How could anyone want to make others suffer this much? I truly wonder.

Adora was watching my back and I was watching hers. We were battling ferocily those reckless robots and I used my claws to rip out their components. Shadow Weaver would usually yell at me when I did that, but I didn't truly care. Adora always thought it was funny to see me torture them, therefore I still do it for her smile.

We entered another level in which we would have to fight an enormous robot. It would usually throw random lasers at us. Adora jumped on its back and began to hit it. I was distracting him while running around before slashing its legs. Adora decided to pierce his chest, before it fell over.

It was so hot in here. Indeed, it felt like we were inside a volcano. Adora walked away from the field and I followed her. Shadow Weaver got closer to us and giggled at Adora. She was so proud of her. In fact, she was so proud, she probably considered Adora her own daughter. When she turned at me, she seemed disappointed, as if I had done something wrong.

As Shadow Weaver walked away, I looked back at Adora and slowly tilted my head.

- Why does she hate me so much? I asked.

Adora raised her shoulders and frowned. She had no idea and sincerely, she probably didn't care. She was always loved by everyone. It's something I envy,

Deep down, I knew I couldn't help but be jealous of Adora. Yet she is the woman I love, I couldn't help but want to stay by her side.

Adora opened her locker and let her jacket in there. As she changed her gym clothes to her normal clothes, I looked at the ceiling.

Adora sighed and pat my head. She then grabs a handful of candy bars and lets me borrow a few. I was dying of hunger.

- Catra, listen. It's not Shadow Weaver you should be worried about. Who cares about her? We will rule the world together one day! She will be the one down on her knees.

I giggled at that thought. Yes. That was our dream. Our goal. We had never seen our general Hordak, but we knew that together, we would be capable of overcoming his power. We were Catra and Adora, after all.

I couldn't help but look at her pale blue eyes. They felt like two pearls in the middle of the night. Like two diamonds in the deep sea. They were so pretty and dense, I would often drown myself into them. Adora snapped her fingers to wake me up. I sat back up and smiled.

Adora and I then went to the dorms, where we would usually stay awake until late at night, talking and dreaming together. I couldn't help but love hearing her talk about her dreams and nightmares. It used to be my favourite moment of the day. I was always excited to hear about her new stories.

Until that one day, where Adora decided to sneak out our room to go back to that forest. That forest, where I lost my best friend.

I never thought a sword would drive her that crazy. To side with the ones we always thought were evil.
