This chapter is a break away from the main story to give you a bit of back story to the home of Joey. I hope this one will be slightly longer. Anyways, enjoy getting to know a bit more about Joey's home (it is not necessarily realistic, in someways it relates to his real life but some not). Enjoy! =)

My home life has always been fairly broken. My parents love each other, but it's a challenge at times, with my father running the country, and my Mum's personal problems. My father always has to deal with things like the defense and problems across the country, and when Mum get's drunk, it's always me or my older sister, Nicole, caring for her. It's a challenge, but I deal with it.

Sometimes, though, when Mum invites her friends and I see her at her worst, when she's crying, and sad about how hard everything is, running the country, and everything is scary and horrifying and I think how good it would be to live a peasant. Everything is so easy. You do about 56 hours a week (8 hours a day), farming, or mining, or some other form of work for food and some money. That's why it was so good living with the Preda's for a little while.

See, my Mum has massive problems as an alcoholic. We do our best working with her to make her improve with her addiction, but she has a trouble staying away from it from very long. It was hardest when we sent her away to improve and I just dismissed her from my life for little while, and it was horrible for me because with all of father's work she was the only one really there for me when I was younger.

But back to the Preda's. I didn't know why at first, but they treated me with sympathy and respect, like they knew something about me that I didn't even know myself. And Daniel; something about the way he looked at me and spoke to me scared me and intrigued me. I stayed at their home for a few days at first, and with my Dad focused on other things, my sister oblivious to everything I did in life, and my Mum always intoxicated, no one ever even noticed I was gone.

I felt welcome staying at the Preda's. They were kind to me, shared with me but also getting me to learn some compassion by making me help with household activities and work. I slowly felt myself rising and becoming a better person. And apparently Daniel noticed too, as he mentioned how wonderful I was becoming and that soon I would get rewarded.

Okay, leaving it here for now. I hope you enjoyed! Follow for more :-) Also comment if you noticed a build up to something very special in the last part ;)
