Dream[e]scape
Slowly now, and I take deeper breaths
And let my tired mind come to a rest
Darkness envelops both my jaded eyes
Old bones soar and imagination flies
.
In my dream I am perched laughing
On a fluffy white cloud way up above
But the paradise wasn't the best thing
It's because you were there, my love
.
Sunlight prods at my consciousness
I awaken, heart heavy, a gloomy mess
It's okay, but I really wish you and me
Just wouldn't be separated by reality.
