Nitori hurried around the corner, manuvering away from a cat and down the block. He was late, unbelievably late. He wouldn't be surprised if she had already left, but he was hoping she was there. He was going on an actual date! His nerves were going haywire and he was afraid he'll mess it up, but this girl was one he really liked.

_____ was to no end cute and she has been kind as can be to him. When he first meet her, she said he was adorable, and didn't leave him alone afterwards. He got to know her well, but it wasn't enough. There were still things he didn't know about her, and he hoped that would change soon. But today, was a day to spend together doing various things. He wanted to make sure she smiled and laughed as much as possible.

Entering the square, he found he standing beside a fountain, looking down at the water. He ran over, bending over while he tried to catch his breath. "I'm sorry-" He panted heavily, giving her an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I'm late, _____."

She giggled and shook her head. "It's okay, Nitori! I knew you'd come, so I was willing to wait." He took this time to examine her outfit, his cheeks burning red. She wore a simple floral dress and light flats. Her hair was styled differently today and a tint of blush was on her cheeks.

"Cute..."

"Huh?" She asked, tilting her head.

Nitori jumped, stumbling for words. "Y-You look cute today!"

She was shocked and her beautiful eyes widened. A big smiled formed and she grabbed his hand. "You look cute, too!" Together the wandered the city, stopping at several shops or playing at the arcade. She asked him about the swim team, telling him that she'd like to see him swimming some time. She even casually invited him to go swimming with her at the community pool.

They never let go of one another's hand, but he kept glancing at her, his heart beating. There is was, her contagious smile he wanted to see forever. They stopped at a small cafe, getting a cold drink to cool off from the heat. He sat across from her, listening to her talk about anything. Either way, it made him happy to learn more of her interests and what she didn't like.

"Nitori," She called to him, tilting her head with her lips against her straw. "Are you okay? Ah," She suddenly panicked, bowing her head. "I'm sorry, I was just talking so much, you must of gotten bored."

Nitori stood up quickly, startling her and others. "That's not true!" He sat down, embarrassed but he stared at her intently. "I'm really happy. I'm glad we could come out today. I'll be sad when this is over." He leaned against his chair, looking dejected.

"Over? We can go out anytime, you know." She held up her phone, grinning. "We can text too. And, this is weird, but I wish I could be around you all the time."

Her face was bright red and his was as well, staring at her in awe. He felt the same, yet he couldn't respond, his chest aching. She stood up quickly as if she was going to leave, but he grabbed her hand, leading her out of the cafe and down the road. When they were away from a crowd, he turned around and hugged her.

"N-Nitori!"

He pulled her back, stuttering and holding her hands. "Call me Ai." She smiling brightly and nodded, squeezing his hands.
