Danica woke up before anyone. It was just dawn and the sun was slowly starting to peak above the trees that seemed to loom and hover over the top of them. The cold chilly winter air bit into Danica's skin as she sat herself down on the cold dirt soil. She didn't remember much from yesterday, it all seemed like a blur, a memory of flashing images with no actual meaning. Tears prickled Danica's eyes as the only thing that she could seem to remember was her house collapsing under the flames, the hungry burning bright red and yellow flames feasting upon the aged wood.

"Thought I might find you out here." A voice interrupted her thoughts. She didn't turn around to see who it was as he sat next to her.

"Bijan is it?" She asked tearing her gaze away from the trees ahead to look at the elf that seated himself next to her.

He nodded a friendly smile not moving from his face.

"I have to apologise for the way Aldwyn behaved yesterday." Danica began a smile flitting across her face at the memory of Bijan's angry face.

"Aye." He said looking down at the ground. "I suppose he was having a rough day? Cannot say I had much of a different one."

Danica turned now so she was facing him her slender finger pushing back a stray curl.

"Does that have something to do with Adrien?" She asked her throat feeling taut.

"Aye to that again, the reason he got whipped was because of you." Bijan said not unkindly.

Danica felt her world close in around her.

"He what?" Her voice came out barely more than a whisper.

Bijan continued to stare at Danica, thinking for a moment before his jaw muscle moved.

"I know a good place to wash." He said, obviously wanting to change the subject, and Danica couldn't agree more she knew deep down she had to talk to Adrien about it. But not now.

Bijan stood up and held out his hand, a look of adventure staining his face like a cloth stain.

Danica smiled at his childishness and laughed as he dragged her through the woods at a jog.

"Are all of you elves so childish?" Danica joked loving the wind in her hair as they continued to run.

"Do we live up to your expectation?" Bijan laughed loudly. His laugh rang off the trees and echoed around the woods, and it seemed that the trees turned happy after hearing his laugh, their leaves turning almost visibly greener.

Bijan stopped and Danica followed suit, her mouth dropping open at the sight that lay before her. A crystal dark blue waterfall lake rested before them surrounded by the greenest of hills and rainforests. Fresh air filled the air and Danica inhaled deeply her eyes fluttering closed as the beautiful air filled her lungs and expelled the smoke that lay on her lungs.

"Well what are you waiting for?" Bijan was smirking from where he had seated himself on the rocks. Danica turned to look at Bijan before inhaling once more before her fingers started to work on her corset undoing it quickly.

Bijan laughed slightly and walked off into the trees, politely giving Danica privacy so she could get undressed.

Once she had stripped herself of her clothes she walked to the water, the coldish air kissing her skin and leaving behind goose bumps. Her feet entered the fresh water and surprisingly it was not cold at all, Danica sighed in relief and rushed into the water throwing herself under the water desperate to wash off the dirt that had made its home on her skin.

When she rose to the surface, she ran her hands through her hair unable to stop the big smile that revealed her pearly whites, after sitting in the water for a little Danica felt herself begin to relax with the water.
