"You've got to be kidding me." Danica exclaimed sighing incredibly loudly and dramatically, leaning backward onto the homemade wooden door. "Don't tell me you are sending me out there again?!"

Danica's family lived on a farm just outside of a little village in Sherborne, Dorset. Outside it was a grey day, the clouds hanging low in the sky, the tips of the trees in the forest that wasn't far from Danica's home was covered by dark angry clouds, their throats growling and grumbling for the taste of the flesh of the rich soil, that lightning happily fed to the ever so hungry stomach of thunder.

"Yes, we are out of raspberries, now if you want mashed berries top of your bread then I suggest you go out there and collect them." Danica's mother dusted the flour on her wheat made apron, her dark brown hair falling in waves down her back.

"Mother not sure if you haven't noticed, but the storm that is about to happen might get me lost and hurt in the woods." Danica pointed out the little dirty window, watching as her father came in, his dark red hair tousled. Danica thought of her parents as an attractive couple, Charlotte her mother had dark brown wavy hair that rested down her back, her eyes were the colour of rich dark soil after a storm had hit the ground, her skin was fair hence the amount of farm work she had done over the years, whereas Danica's father Sebastian was the talk of the town between the women, incredibly handsome it was almost inhumane, his face was all angles, dark red hair sat on top of his head in messy curls, high cheekbones were perched ready for any action that should bring harm to his incredibly light hazel eyes. Sebastian was all muscle starting from the base of his neck underneath his sharp and bold jawline, and his skin was tan from being underneath the sun for the whole of his life. No wonder Mother had fallen in love with him Danica thought to herself.

"So what? When I was your age I was running around the village like a lost child." Mother rested her hands on her hips and Father chuckled his hand sliding around her waist and pressing a kiss to her temple.

Danica sighed slightly jealous that Mother had found someone was in love with her.

"Father please do not make me go out there!" Danica pleaded, begging with her eyes as he looked at her.

"Sorry kiddo, you will have to go out there next time your brother will go." Her father's eyes softened in affection, he was the softest person in the family; quick to sympathise.

Danica groaned dramatically once more and with a huff gathered her skirts in her hands and stormed out of the house, with a quick glimpse she saw her father steal a kiss from mother and Danica rolled her eyes, negative thoughts about how stupid love was rolled like waves through her mind. Her ankle boots sank into the slippery mud and Danica almost lost her balance, but steadied herself just as quick.

Danica flicked her loose deep red hair over her shoulder and stormed on her cheekbone tensing in frustration. Suddenly Danica's foot slipped again and without saving herself tumbled down into the mud, the messy brown liquid spreading all over herself. Danica sighed angrily and bit back a frustrated scream as she picked herself up from the ground and walked across the muddy field to the broken down barn that probably would not survive another winter.

Danica used her whole body to shoulder the barn door open and picked her shawl from the rack and draped it over her shoulders, the corset tightened as she took a deep breath in, her chest desperately finding the opening to escape the tight clothing. Danica had always loved the smell of the hay inside the barn, shame there was no horse in there to fill that peace. Slowly and lazily Danica picked up the raspberry basket and sighed before walking back out into the biting cold air of outside the barn. Danica's hair whipped back in the wind as she began to make her journey down into the village.
