The Most Wonderful Time

9 1 1

I made a shout to the father

That in this season

He would not forget about me

And when the clouds cried, I cried

Every tear a raindrop

As I kneeled on one knee

Releasing pressure

That had filled my soul

Cleansing the system

Of errors untold

The MOST Wonderful time of the Year

Was when he blessed me

And even still I had fallen short

I was not worthy

Until I thanked him

Humbly,

The most wonderful time of the year

Was when he kept me

And so I screamed and I praised

As I reached into the heavens

And I pulled with the angels

Down the windowsill of blessings

It showered me with strength

It showered me with love

It showered me with joy

Until I had enough

In turn I'll give you

What he had given me

A gift

More important for your giving

One of vulnerability

And make sacrifices

And so we give up

If the price is right

Then letting go wasn't so tough

Time doesn't even wait for us

It passes us by and continues next

But he waits until we're ready

Orders our operations and add us to the set

Yet still

We don't acknowledge the moments we share

But suddenly miss it when it's not there

The most wonderful time of the year

Was when he blessed me

And even still I had fallen short

I was not worthy

And still he was the most wonderful
