When Niklaus promised me he wouldn't hurt me, I believed him like a fool. Because he did hurt me. As I looked at the other girl-Hayley, her name was Hayley, the werewolf, I felt my heart shatter into microscopic pieces. How dare he? How dare he get her pregnant when I was in a relationship with him.

Now he was looking at me with a kicked puppy dog eyes, as if begging for forgiveness, which I wasn't going to give him.

I had just been told that Niklaus had gotten a werewolf pregnant in the beginning of our relationship. Two days after we moved to New Orleans. Now, I was sitting besides Elijah as Niklaus tried to apologize.

"H-h-how c-could you?" I sobbed as I buried my head on Elijah's chest. He rubbed my back as my body heaved with heartbreaking, painful sobs.

"How could you betray me?" I asked, gesturing to Hayley.

"Love, it was a spell put to us by Sophie Deveraux. I wouldn't betray you otherwise," he aaid, trying to be gentle with me.

I felt another kick, more cracked ribs. More spitting out blood. I clutched my very swollen belly as Hayley looked at me horrified and with a bit of pity. More tears streamed down my face and I tried to calm down.

"Love, are you-" Niklaus started to say but Elijah cut him off with an angry look on his face.

"Niklaus, now it's not the time. Fiona needs rest and to relax," Elijah said as he helped me stand up and walk up the stairs.

Once in my room, I laid down on my bed as Elijah gave me tissues and a tall glass of water. I thanked him and rubbed my belly. My baby didn't kick anymore, but it was safe to say that I probably had a few cracked ribs.

"Are you well?" He asked me. I shook my head as fresh tears streamed from my face.

"No," I whimpered as I dabbed at my eyes with a tissue. "I feel pathetic."

"You are not pathetic, Fiona. You just fell in love. Believe me, I know that for experience," Elijah said and I gave a watery smile.

"Thanks for trying to make me feel better," I said, rubbing my belly.

Elijah put his hand on top of my other hand, the one that was on the bed.

"Rest, it will do you some good," he said, patted my hand and smiled. He left.

I know its short. Sorry.
