Fiona Pov

The last few days have been a routine. I woke up, I ate, I spent my time with Elijah. I have avoided Niklaus and Hayley like the plague. He tried to apologize to me but I ignored him until he stopped. Now if we saw each other, we wouldn't talk. But I sometimes caught myself looking at him. But I wasn't ready to forgive him yet, I needed time to get my thoughts straight and figure out if I wanted to stay with him.

And he looked devastated. His pale blue eyes were bloodshot, like he had been crying for a while. But I don't talk to him. The sadistic part of me wants to see him suffer for what he did to me, even if it was because of a spell.

I got really huge, though. If I stayed pregnant any longer, I would explode. This baby has been kicking like crazy this past couple of days and I feel a pain on my thighs.

Elijah has been taking care of me; he is the only one I can stand. He has even helped me get my own apartment in New Orleans for when I give birth. I didn't want to stay where Hayley or Niklaus were staying.

"Fiona, I took the liberty to furnish your apartment and I bought some baby stuff," Elijah said and I smiled.

" Oh Elijah, you are a godsend," I said as he handed me a glass of water.

I felt the baby kick my ribs and I winced and held my breath until the pain dulled. I let out the breath I had been holding and relaxed.

"Elijah, could you help me stand up? My legs hurt," I said and grabbed onto his arm as he helped me stand up.

"Ahhh..." I shrieked as the baby kicked again, this time stronger than before. I then felt something warm and wet trail off my legs and pooling on the floor. And then the excruciating pain spread throughout my body.

"Ah. Oh god... Not now... Oh shit that hurts..." I cursed and squatted while holding Elijah's arm.

I looked at him and he looked as pale as a sheet of paper. But he composed himself quickly and carried me bridal style to my bed.

"Fiona, I will be back soon with the midwife," Elijah said, gripping my arm in comfort before leaving.

I stayed there, in pain, crying and hurting. I closed my eyes and gripped my sheets as another wave of excruciating pain went through me.

"What's taking you so long, Elijah?" I mumbled as the contraction stopped.

My heart was beating erratically, I couldn't think of anything else but the pain. I couldn't breathe; I felt like I was drowning in a sea of pain and misery.

I heard the door open and I looked up, hoping that it was Elijah. But it wasn't Elijah; it was him. Niklaus.

He looked at me worried, but he looked at me as if asking for permission to get closer to me. I nodded and he didn't waste any time.

"Elijah went to get the midwife," I said, after taking a deep breath.

"Elijah won't come," Niklaus said darkly and I frowned. "I will get somebody to deliver the baby."

I didn't register what he said, focusing on what was important. Oh god. I gasped in pain as another searing contraction left tears in my eyes. It hurts so much.

"Ahhhh," I shrieked as I felt my ribs breaking. "It hurts, I can't take it anymore."

I don't know how long I was laying down in that bed, writhing in excrusiating pain. What happened to Elijah?

"You must be Fiona," a female voice said and I barely had the strength to look up.

The woman Niklaus brought wasn't that pretty. Long, black hair and dark eyes and tan skin.

"This is Yvonne. She will help with your birth," Niklaus said with a small smile on his face.

I looked at the woman warily. She wasn't Gabrielle, the midwife who Elijah took me to meet and the one who I had chosen to deliver my baby.

I was about to retord when another stab of pain came through me. I gasped as the woman went to work.

More minutes passed as the woman told me to continue pushing. It seemed like an eternity.

"Just one more push," Yvonne said as I looked at her with heavy-lidded eyes.

I did as she asked and with a cry, I felt as if I was being split up in the middle.

Another shrill cry filled the room as I looked at the squirming bundle in Yvonne's arms...

Finally Fiona gave birth!!! I apologize if the birth wasn't accurate but obviously I don't know about childbirth. I hope you like it and any comments or questions are welcome.
