Chapter 2- EMMA

I stare out of the window as we head to our 5 star hotel accommodation located in the heart of London.

"Emma?" Ashley says looking at me worryingly.

"What?" I say.

"What's wrong with you? You don't seem to be okay at all"

"Ugh, never mind I am totally okay" I say flashing my fake smile.

The silence then consumes us as we both continue to look outside of the window.

"Oh my god! Emma! Hey! I miss you so much!" Marcus says.

"Hey! I miss you too!" I say with a huge smile on my face. Marcus and I were friends since I was in my first college year, but in the fourth year of college he moved to New York with his parents. This was the my first time to see him since the past 3 years. He was going to open my concert actually.

"So, How's life?" He asks with a small grin on his face,

"It's great" I say grinning back.

We continue talking until James who is my tour guide calls me to meet him.

"So are you ready to rock the stage tomorrow?" James asks me once we meet.

"Ugh, yes" I say, annoyed.

"What's wrong with you? You seem so distracted these days" he asks.

"What's even right about life? What's worth living?" I shot back in a more stubborn way than I would like.

"I am sorry, I shouldn't have asked you this question. When is your mom returning home though?"

"I am not sure but I believe next week" I say.

"Okay, I didn't actually get you here for this."

James is my tour organizer since about a year. Although he's older than me by 2 years only, he looks way older than he seems.

"What did you get me for?" I ask.

"One of the journalists has scheduled to have an interview with you this Sunday, and you better not mess up in this interview, okay?" He says.

Oh no I thought,

"Yeah okay" I say.

"I am going to leave you to prepare for tomorrow, and don't forget to tour around London so that you would feel more better" James said, smiling.

"Thank you, see you tomorrow"

When I return to my hotel apartment, I find a note from Ashley and Marcus telling me to come and meet them down at 6 pm.

I set my timer to wake up by 5:30 and fall asleep without changing my clothes.
