PART 6
We pile out of the car and go over to the ticket booth to order tickets.
Logan hands money over to the lady and we each get a wristband to go on all the rides and games.
We head through the gates and as I look over at Chad he smiles ear to ear with excitement.
"Mommy Mommy can we go on the Mary go round?" Chad asks
"Yeah sure"
We line up and get onto the ride. Chad and I are sharing a horse while Logan sits on the one beside us.
The ride starts and Chad and I laugh at Logan as he pulls faces as we go round and round.
The ride ends and we get off going down the exit.
"Mommy I need to go to the bathroom" Chad says
"Ok I'll take you" I tell him
"Logan I'm just taking Chad to the bathroom"
"No problem I'll get some fairy floss and meet you at the moving clown heads" he replies as I walk away with Chad.
(LOGAN'S point of view)
After I ordered some fairy floss I went over to the clowns and took a seat next to a guy who I recognized
"Hey how are you?" I say
"Oh hi, your Chad father right?"
"Ahhh... No I'm best friends with Ashley, Chads not mine, I'm Logan by the way" I reply holding out my hand
"Oh I'm James. So do you know what happened with Chad's father?" James asks as we shake hands.
"Not really, I know she hates him but she doesn't really talk about it, I guess her past is the past and she doesn't want to bring it back"
"I understand. So how long have you known her for?" He asks
"Since Chad was 6 months old"
"Wow you guys must be close then, have you ever thought about being a couple?"
"No no no, I mean I love her and Chad heaps but we're only friends"
"Oh I see" he says
(ASHLEY'S point of view)
Chad and I make our way back from the bathroom to spot Logan talking with James 'great'
"Hey look what I got you" Logan says handing Chad some fairy floss
"Thank you Loggie" he says
"Hey Ash" James smiles
"Hey" I say back and turned towards Logan
"It's getting late maybe we should go home if that's alright?" I ask
"Ash it's only been a hour" he says looking at his watch
"Please" I say quickly
"Yeah that's fine" he looks at me suspiciously and then over at James "c'ya later James" he says
"Bye Mr Maslow" Chad waves
"Bye, see you at school Chad" he waves
And we head off to the car
