**Hana point of view**

"Hana, wake up. You're gonna be late for school," a gentle voice called out. I groaned with irritation. I was so not ready for school on this specific Monday.

My head rang with a headache, most likely from the alcohol I had consumed the night before. While it soothed my emotions in the moment, I was now facing the consequences. My hands came up to my face, covering the light bleeding through the windows. I took my phone from my nightstand, the time being 6:45 am. I truly was going to be late. I rolled my eyes, sitting up, my legs dangling over the side of my bed.

I did not want to go to school. Chandler and I had four class periods together. In the beginning of the year, we begged our academic counselor to ask the principal if we could have a few of the same periods, and they allowed. I was regretting that decision at that moment. I had to face Chandler for most of the day without crying or getting angry. I also had to face Brianna, who was in my English class. I guess I never really knew who she was because she was never mentioned.

When I found out who she was, I remembered her. she had an interesting style a year earlier. Glasses, and choker necklaces; every single day. I never judged her, but she did have an interesting style - Picture.

I finally looked to the doorway to see my mom staring at me. I cringed at the remembrance of the fact that I hadn't told her about the break up. She seemed concerned

I glanced back at her before opening my mouth to speak.

"Mom?" I called. She sympathetically smiled at me. I closed my eyes for a second, then opening them.

"Yes?" She responded. I took a deep breath before building up the courage to speak.

I looked down. I was going to be late, "Never mind."

She furrowed her brows, "Are you okay, Hana?"

I shook my head, off of my bed, "Yep, fine."

She paused, as if analyzing my facial expressions, "Alright, I'll drive you this morning. Just be ready in ten minutes."

I smiled, then nodded. My mom fled from my room as I walked over to my dresser.

I quickly dressed myself, brushed my teeth and hair, clipped my bangs back, and brought my bag downstairs.

I told my mom that I was ready to go to school as I motioned to the door. She followed me out the door, making our way to the car. Through the thick fog, the headlights of the car gleamed as my mom unlocked it. I got into the passengers seat, throwing my bag onto the floor as I picked my phone out of my pocket. I clicked it on and slid it unlocked. I pressed on the icons that led to the apps that I wanted to check. Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube. Lastly, I decided to go on Twitter.

Being the person that I am, I scrolled through my home page, knowing that my friends tweet everyday.

Brooke Excited for my photo shoot this weekend! #Abrimsmodeling

As I scrolled, I came across many celebrity's and YouTubers tweets. However, one in particular really bothered me. Chandlers.

Chandler
If you've heard the rumors, Hana and I have decided to break ties. It was mutual, but still very unfortunate. But at least I have my good friend, Brianna, there for me. Thank you all for your support.

I scoffed, wanting to throw my phone. The way he can just cheat on me, say he loves me, and just go and date Brianna, announcing it to his very gullible fans. It makes me absolutely sick.

My mom suddenly dropped her purse onto the floor mat and sat down in the drivers seat. The engine started, moving us in reverse to back out of the drive way.

We arrived in front of my unnecessarily glamorized high school. Having money has its perks, but at this point, I was sick of going to school with all of the rich, prep kids.

I jumped out of the car, telling my mom my goodbyes, and rushed into first period, which was Chemistry. One of the few classes I don't have with either Chandler or Brianna.

My teacher, Mrs. Blanchard, gave me a genuine smile before grabbing a huge stack of papers from her desk. She walked over to the counters we have in our classroom and set them down on it.

Once the room was filled with all of the students, Mrs. Blanchard quieted them down, and prepared herself to speak.

"Today we are going to be getting with partners to start our next project. Which is Evaluating Choice Blindness. "Choice blindness" refers to the phenomenon where people are blind to their own choices or preferences and are able to validate decisions they did not actually ever make. This experiment will evaluate whether men or women are more likely to demonstrate choice blindness. We will be figuring out whether this phenomenon occurs more with men or women," She paused, as if to allow the students to digest the information, "Make sense?"

Most of the class nodded.

"Alright, now I will assign partners," she pulled out a paper attached to a clip board, "Okay, Evan and Bryan, Josie and Anthony, Katelyn and Hana..."

I shyly glanced over to Katelyn, as did she. She was always quiet. Everyone barely knew her. Sometimes I forget she even goes to my school. The only reason I knew who she was, is because she works with Chandler on the Walking Dead.

I didn't pay attention to the rest of the names. Before I knew it, Katelyn was standing in front of my desk. She had brought a chair and her bag over to me.

"Hi," I greeted. She hung her bag on her chair, and sat there quietly. "I guess we're partners."

"Yeah," I paused, flashing her a smile, "So, would you be available outside of school to talk about the project?"

She nodded as Mrs. Blanchard began to speak once again. Our attention was diverted to her.
