Please come back.

Leah please...

I need you Leah...

Why have you left?

I scanned through the fifty-eight messages that I had deliberately ignored, feeling a gnawing sensation in the pit of my stomach. Guilt. Was that the one? Probably not, as I'd never feel guilty about such a decision that would make my life a happy one, where teenagers on the street didn't randomly pick up a stone and lob it at my large head because of something my ex did, (or didn't do)...

It had been three days since the incident at the hospital, where Alison had confessed that she had violated Louis, and that I'd caught her at the wrong moment. Now all that was on my mind was a new life, a life without either Louis or any of the boys, accept Harry, who was still in his long and heart-wrenching coma; A life with just me, my future boyfriend, and his soon to be step-child.

I sighed heavily, taking a glance at the list of 'missed' calls that were flashing up on my screen: Four from Emily and a whopping twenty-seven from Louis. I rolled my eyes; I couldn't catch a break at all.

"Leah Blackmore." The nurse's voice called, a voice I recognized. I looked up instantly, shoving my phone into the depth of my denim pocket, casting a smile in the direction of the voice. But as soon as I saw who it was, my emotion turned sour.

"Hello, Fay." I mumbled underneath my hot breath, looking up at her dark curls and her huge brown eyes.

"Ah, good to see you so soon, Leah." She said, returning the look. "I see you are all well and fine after-", she fiddled through a threw pages that were roughly stapled onto her clipboard, "-Violently assaulting a visitor, tormenting a receptionist, and causing havoc in the room of a mentally ill patient, before proceeding to storm out of the building leaving a desperate man running after you." She said, lowering the clipboard down to her stomach. "It is so good to see you again." She spat in a sarcastic drone; Then she looked at me with vigilant eyes, tutting me. I shook my head in disbelief; I really couldn't be bothered for an argument, not since this was one of the most important days I'd ever encounter. 'Today is the first day of the rest of your life', as Synanon would say.

"Can we please just get on with it?" I asked, heaving my body into the cotton-white room. I dropped my beige handbag  that contained my purse and personal items before sitting down on the long dentist-looking chair, lying my whole body across the soft material.

"As you wish." She said, following me into the small room. She stopped by the doorway and peered over her shoulder. "Don't you want Louis to be here?" She asked, staring at me with her large beady eyes.

My heart stopped.

"No, I don't want anything to do with him." I mumbled.

"But he is the fathe-"

"No." I spat, crossing my arms and staring right into her eyes. "He is not coming. If he has a problem with it he can take it to court, but I won't justify it here." I said, turning away from her sympathetic eyes. "So can we please get on with it?"

Fay let out a long sigh before stepping forward and slowly closing the white plastic-like door behind her. She twiddled her thumbs and then sat on the blue chair beside me, watching the back of my head with curious eyes.

"Leah," She spoke. I turned to face her and she gently placed her soft hand on my shoulder, making my body tense up.

"Yes?" I replied, wondering why her tone had changed so suddenly.

"I'm worried about you, and I don't mean as a patient- I'm generally worried." She said, biting her lips. I stared at her in confusion

"What do you mean?" I wondered.
