An Ode to the Sea

Your potential for danger keeps me
On my toes
The pebbles rough
Against the soles of my feet
The smoothness of the stones
All remind me of how things once were

I would be a body of water
If it meant you coming home

In another life I was one with the sea
I can feel the force of remembrance
Played with by the moon

The tide rumbles a greeting
When I draw near
Pulling closer as I go

I would be a body of water
If it meant you coming home
