Blindfolded dream. Finding the needle in a haystack. One for sorrow two for joy, three's a girl and four's a boy.

When first her search began she thought she knew where the needle would be. When she was a little girl she thought she knew what each magpie meant.
Digging, searching. She could not keep attention to time.
A noise startled her from behind.
She removed the blindfold.
There was a magpie with a straw in his mouth, with all- knowing beady eyes.
She reached to the bird- red dots covered her palms. She had been searching through a stack of needles all along.
It was times like this that the magpie could mean only one thing to her, which was sorrow.
She questioned,"What kind of girl lets a bird mold their future?"
The lone magpie flew off leaving the caged thing with her thoughts.
