"A NEW ENCOUNTER"

"P-promise?" A little girl with sleek, shoulder-length blond hair asked with an uncertain voice. She lifted her 'pinky' finger for a 'pinky-swear'. The little girl held back her tears as she looked at a little boy, who was taken aback by this little gesture. The boy had pink hair and dark green eyes, it was so dark it started to look like a black one. This same little pink-haired boy gave her one big grin, one of his signature grins, as he intertwined his 'pinky' with the little girl's and said, "Promise!" The girl returned his grin with a cheerful smile and they started to sing in the most familiar song of the pinky-swear, "If you don't fulfill your promise, you will chew 1,000 needles" They untangle their entrammelled fingers and gave each other a big grin before bursting into laughter.

"RRRRRIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!" goes off an alarm clock.

A blond-haired girl, sleeping on the bed of her room, slowly awoke and turned off the alarm clock. She sat up and placed her hand on her forehead, easing up the coming headache. 'That dream again' She thought as she stood up, getting ready for her new school.

Ever since the family of the girl left town, she never, not even once, forgot about that little boy she used to play with. He got lost in their mansion once while looking for a cat named Happy. Luckily for him, the person who found him was this little girl, and they started playing with each other since then.

'I hope he's keeping our promise'

"What did you say, droopy eyes?!" A pink-haired guy asked with an annoyed tone. "I said stop acting like an idiot! Squinty eyes!" A black-haired boy, who was topless, shot back, scoffing at him. They bumped their foreheads into each other and started giving each other deadly glares. The topless one was surrounded by an icy, blue aura while the pinkette was surrounded by a fiery, orange aura. "I dare you say that again, ice-brain!" the pinkette threatened. "Try me ash brain!" the black-haired guy replied, accepting his challenge. Then they started hitting each other with full blows...that is until a certain someone showed up.

"Stop it, Gray! Natsu!" a scarlet-haired girl said. Apparently she was their class chairman.

Upon hearing this girl's voice, both flung their arms around each other and started acting like the bestest friend ever. "We weren't fighting. R-right, Natsu" the black-haired guy exclaimed. So, the black-haired was Gray and the pinkette is Natsu. "A-aye!" Natsu replied.

"There goes Happy no. 2" a girl with short, white hair whispered to a giggling blue-haired girl.

""Well, that's good to hear" Erza, the scarlet-haired, said as she nodded her head, "Even best friends have their fights"

While the blond-haired girl was walking to school, her head was preoccupied with thoughts about that boy from seven years ago that she didn't see someone rushing her way.

~Thud~

They bump into each other's body.

The blond closed her eyes to brace for the impact of falling down, but instead, she felt a warm hand catch her by her hand. She opened her eyes to see a blond guy.

"AH!~ -I'm very sorry" Lucy apologized. "No. It' okay. It was my fault for rushing anyway." He gave her one big goofy smile.

Blond hair, blue eyes, red cat hanging by is shoulders, Sabertooth academy uniform. She unconciously examined the guy.

"Anyway, I'm Sting and this is Lector" He said and ruffled the cat's fur as he said the name Lector.

"Ah. I'm Lucy. Are you an exceed, by any chance" Lucy asked, averting her gaze to the red cat that was hanging on Sting's shoulders.

Sting and Lector looked shocked upon hearing the word exceed. "H-how do you know that?"

"I have a friend who has one" Lucy smiled cheerily, before giving a sideways glance at her clock. "Oh no! I have to go now. See you around Sting-kun. You too, Lector-kun" Lucy said as she waved goodbye to those two.

"Who was that girl Sting?" A black-haired guy asked him. "She says her name is Lucy. Isn't she a hot chick?" Sting replied, giggling to himself. "Putting that aside...isn't she wearing a Fairy Tail uniform?" the guy asked worriedly. "So, there's no problem with dating a girl from other schools, right, Rogue?"
