"CELESTIAL MAGE: LUCY HEARTFILLIA"

Chapter 2

"Celestial Mage: Lucy Heartfillia"

   The door that led to 2-B's classroom slid open and a man with orange hair came in. The students stood up and greeted, "Good morning Gildarts-sensei". The man with orange hair replied, "Good morning class. Please take your seats..." He motioned for them to sit down and so they did. "Today, we have a transfer student and she will be joining our class."

Whispers slowly filed the room as the students start to talk about this 'new student'. 

"I think I saw her this morning!"

"Really? What did she look like?"

"She has blond hair...I think"

Of course, by the far end of the class, sitting in a corner, beside the window, sat a certain pink-haired boy. Natsu Dragneel. He wasn't interested in those kind of stuffs so he just decided to ignore those conversations and stare at the big blue, cloudless sky.

"You may come in now"

Natsu heard the door slide open, but his attention stayed outside the window.

"Please introduce yourself"

"My name is Lucy Heartfillia. I hope we all get along" the girl introduced herself cheerfully.

It was after hearing her name that moved his attention from outside the window to the girl standing in front of the class. 'Lucy? Could it really be her?'

"Oh! And if you're curious...I'm a celestial mage. I can summon celestial spirits from the celestial world" She added joyfully.

"Thank you for that short introduction Ms. Heartfillia. If you should need anything, just ask our class chairman, Erza Scarlet" He told her, just as a girl with scarlet hair, sitting at the second row, third seat from the right stood up. 'So she's Erza Scarlet-san' Lucy thought as she gave Erza a smile.

Suddenly, they were abruptly stopped when they heard the sound of a chair being pushed aside as a certain student stood up.

A few seconds after that, there was already a pink-haired student in front of Lucy, and is...hugging her??? She was confused at first until she heard a familiar voice whisper in her ear.

"You're finally here Luce!"

Upon hearing this familiar voice, Lucy hugged him back and said, "Glad to be back, Na-kun."

Gildarts cleared his throat, pulling the two of them out of their nostalgic emotions.

"Sorry" Natsu said as he scratched the back of his head before going back to his place. Lucy just giggled at the sight of an embarrassed Natsu.

"As for your seat, choose whichever place you are comfortable with" With that last statement, he turned to face he board and started to write some things on the board.

"May I sit next to you?" Lucy asked Natsu as she stood in front of the vacant seat beside Natsu.

"You had to ask...of course it's a yes. I can never deny you Luce" Natsu replied childishly.

As the class drag on, the two were passing notes secretly.

~When did you come back? You never told me. You could have at least sent a voicemail or something...

~I came back yesterday...and the reason I didn't tell you is because I wanted to surprise you and Happy...speaking of which...Where is he?

~Oh. He's at the school's garden right now, with some of his friends.

~Whoah...They have a garden? Can you show me around later?

~Sure, why not? But let's introduce you to some friends  first.

~Okay....

"Okay that is all for this morning class"

"Finally!" Most of the students exclaimed as they stretch out their arms.

"Oi Natsu. What's the big deal about hugging the new girl?" Gray asked Natsu. "It's none of your damn business" Natsu replied. "Oh come on! It's not like you're close friends or something. I mean she's only new here." Gray inquired in a doubtful tone. Natsu just stifled a laugh. "What?!" Gary shouted, then cleared his throat. "I'm sorry. How do you even know her?" 

"It's our little secret" Natsu replied then gave Gray his signature grin.
