PROMISE

"What Happened"

  "Really, nothing special happened" Levy replied, recalling in her head the things that happened yesterday.

 YESTERDAY....after classes

   

     After the gang had left, Levy went to look for Gajeel and Lily. Luckily, she found Lily sitting under a tree by the gate.

"Hi Lily. Where's Gajeel?" levy asked as she approached the exceed.

"Cleaning duty" Lily replied and added, "You want to tell him something?"

"Yeah..." Levy replied.

AFTER A FEW MINUTES....

 

    'Honestly, that man is so annoying' Gajeel thought as he headed to the place where Lily said he would be waiting. When he was a few feet away from the tree, a smirk formed in his lips when he saw the 'shrimp' sleeping under the tree, and the exceed soundly sleeping on her lap.

"Ga-jeel" Gajeel heard Levy whisper sleepily while approaching them, causing him to blush slightly.

Gajeel sat beside Levy and Levy's head dropped down to lean on Gajeel's shoulder.

Slowly Lily woke up to see Gajeel sleeping beside Levy, his head leaning on the tree.

After awhile, Gajeel woke up to see a smirking Lily who was exclaiming, "gihi!"

"What?!" Gajeel replied, trying to sound annoyed, when in reality he was trying hard to fight back the blush.

"Lily, is Gajeel here already?" Levy asked sleepily, while wiping the drowsiness out of her eyes. When she was fully awake, she turned her face to see who was seating beside her.

"EH? G-G-Gajeel?!" Levy exclaimed as she backed away from Gajeel, her cheeks slightly red. Gajeel only gave her a smirk and said, "What do you want from me, shorty?"

"I...uh...I wanted to thank you for helping me a while ago. That's all I wanted to say, so bye!" Levy said and stood up to leave but Gajeel grabbed her right hand to stop her from leaving, saying, "It's getting dark, and it's dangerous for a girl like you to walk home alone. I'll walk you."

"It's alright. I can take care of myself" Levy replied and left.

"Wait a minute...why are you still following me?! I thought I told you that I could take care of myself!" Levy exclaimed as she turned around to look back at Gajeel, Lily walking alongside him.

"I am not following you shrimp! It just happens that the way to my home is the same way as yours." Gajeel replied matter-of-factly, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Fine!" Levy replied before walking away, stomping her feet while doing so.

"Gihi!"

"You should not provoke her like that all the time Gajeel" Lily said as he watched the stomping Levy walk away.

"I just can't help it. It's fun to see her mad" was the only explanation Gajeel gave Lily.

"Oi! Levy-chan!" Lucy called out, pulling Levy out of her thoughts. "We need to go now. The bell rang already" she added.

"Ah, gomen Lu-chan. You can go on ahead. I'll follow in a while." Levy replied.

"Okay then, if you say so. See you later" Lucy said while leaving.

Levy sighed before keeping her lunch, then stood up to leave.

As she was leaving, she saw a yawning Gajeel opening the door.

"Yo shrimp!" Gajeel called out as he noticed her.

Levy gave him a stern look and said, "The name's Levy"

Gajeel gave her a smirk and said, "I can call you whatever I want" 

That's it! Levy has had enough of this name calling, so she walked pass Gajeel and went back to class.

"Tck!" Gajeel exclaimed, although he thought, 'Wonder what happened? She usually strikes back.'
