Matchmaker

The day before the weekend and there was still a lot to do, I had papers to get passed through before Monday and to organise a meeting with the planners in order for the details of the mining to be carried out. It was hectic being an architect and sometimes I felt like a skivvy, fortunately I had an excellent Secretary who would soon be my Personal Assistant, and her skills would reduce the burden on me...

"Good Morning Maz"

"Morning Holly"

I was loath to mention anything which might make her uncomfortable but what the hell I was never miss subtle anyway

"So what do u think about Emily coming to work for this department"

"I think she will fit right in"

Yeah, right between your legs....

"Won't it be strange, working alongside your girlfriend?"

She looked up at me and realised the game was up

"How long have you known??"

"Me?? Everyone knows........You're not exactly discreet, but that's not a bad thing........I can see you care for each other and that's all that matters..........As long as it doesn't interfere with the job then everything will get running smoothly"

"Oh yes it will Holly"

"Good, we won't speak any more about it"

To be honest I was going to enjoy having maz closer to me and from the report I heard about Emily, she was as equally stunning.

The rest of the day whizzed by, the meeting with the planners went ok and we agreed a budget for the project and the requisition papers came and were signed for the transfer on Monday...

I was about to close shop for the day when there was a knock at the door

"Giles.........to what do I owe this pleasure"

"I heard from a little bird that you wanted to talk to me"

"Yes...........come in"

"So what did you want to talk to me about?"

"How would you like to go for a meal and drinks tomorrow?"

"With you........but your gay"

"I said drinks, not sex"

"Sorry, is there a reason behind this?"

""I know someone who likes older men.........she is single and available"

"So your matchmaking.......?"

"Well........she has a sister who I'm interested in and so I thought it would be good if the four of us went out, had a meal and some drinks and then split up"

"Wow Holly, you have really thought this through....I like the idea"

"OK well I will see if these two are 'hopefully' interested and when I know the ins and out, the times I will ring you with the details"

"Thank you Holly, if you wasn't a lesbian I would kiss you all over"

"Unfortunately I am........but hopefully you can kiss Becca all over instead"

"That's her name I take it"

"Yes it is"

"And how old is she?"

"22"

"Did you mention how old I was?"

"She doesn't even know you exist.......that is unless her sister has mentioned it to her, I will find out later"

So that was that, this weekend would hopefully be a date for me and Leah, Giles and Rebecca.

It was time to go and I managed to catch Maz before she left

"I trust you have told Emily about Monday"

"Yes"

"Can you tell her that the transfer has been approved but I need to see her at 8.30 because we need to go through the rules of this office, there are some business clients coming for 9am and I would like her in place to deal with this?"

"You have my word"

"8.30 and please don't wear the girl out x"

She looked at me and smiled......Young love, oh how I wish that was me.

I locked up the office and headed over to the coffee house...
