Chapter 2

Money and extravagance is very well attached to the surname she’s carrying. But love and acceptance is not one of the favors being an Arance do her. Well, who is she to complain? She is not a real daughter of Leon Arance.

She has been blamed of her mother’s death. She was given birth prematurely because her mother fell off the stairs and resulting to so much physical trauma on her mother’s side and death afterwards.

She have 3 brothers, Guillen, Gleian, and Leandro. All are older than her, they were the real children of Leon Arance. And all were against her being an Arance.

It is a secret of the mansion. Everyone knows about the story except the new maids and other new staffs. Everyone knows and no one dares to ever talk about it other than the Arances.

Kuya Guillen is the successor of Dads Empire. He is being trained together with Kuya Leandro sa pagpapatakbo ng mga negosyo ni Don Leon. I was not allowed to call him dad, kalabisan na naman na daw na ipinahiram na niya saakin ang apelyido nila at aakuin niya pa ang pagiging ama saakin. But there’s also an exemption, pag may gatherings that needs the presence of the image of Arance princess. That’s when I show up and that’s when I am able to call him my dad. Those are the time that I became one of them. That’s when I became part of the family. Those little moments I treasure so much, I feel so alive when I get to call them dad and kuyas.

Kaya kahit matagal na niya iyong hindi nagagawa ay sobrang pag iingat pa rin ang ginagawa ko.

“Mabuti na ang malinaw. Masyado na ngang magastos yang skwelahan mong yan e mag dadagdag ka pa”, mabigat na pasaring nito. Well hindi siguro nito alam na hindi ko naman nagagalaw yung perang ibinibigay nito para sa tuition at miscellaneous ko. Yung allowance ko kasi, simula nung mag high school ako ay napag usapan na naming na ako na ang bahalang mag hanap. Wala eh, trip niya kasi talaga ata akong pahirapan kaya hayaan nalang. Pasalamat nalang talaga ako at nag qualify ako sa institutional scholarship ng Colegio de ilustrados. Bawal naman kasi ako sa Government scholarships kasi nga sa pamilya na kinabibilangan ko.

”By the way, Gleian will be here for a vacation, hindi pa naman ngayong buwan. Maybe 2 months from now. Wag ka masyadong mag pakita sakanya. Mas mabuti nga siguro kung hindi ka muna dito uuwi. If you have a friend, dun ka muna. Or mag hotel ka para hindi ka na makaabala pa. Ill provide you the money you needed for 2 weeks.

It seems like he already have a decision kaya napatango na alang ako. I don’t have a choice anyway. Nakakalungkot nga lang na hindi ko man lang masisilip kung kumusta na si Kuya Gleian. Nag iistay na kasi si Kuya sa states to continue his therapy after a car accident 1 year ago.
