David stared at Jack's hand. "Why should I trust you?" David asked. "Ask yourself this." Jack said. "Who else are you gonna trust?" He asked. "Myself." David said. "Being alone isn't the answer in this world." Alice said, walking towards the two. "Being with someone who cares and has your back can be a lot more beneficial. Ask Jackaboy here." She said. "I could have killed those police." Jack said in a sharp tone. "Sure, sweetheart." Alice teased. "Whatever." Jack said. "So ya with us?" Jack asked. A little bit of hope in his eye, he reached further. David stood there and stared at Jack's hand. "Okay..fine." David said. Jack's eyes widened in surprise. "Good." He said. "Don't worry little bro haha. I'll protect ya." He added, in a playful way. "Little bro?" David asked. "Well that's comforting." He said in a sarcastic tone.
"So where are you guys from?" David asked. "It doesn't matter where we are from." Alice said. "It only matters where we are going." She said. "And where we are going, is dangerous." Jack said. "You have to be crazy. Pretty much insane to go where we are going." He added. "That won't be a problem." David said. "Good." Jack said. "I need the best of the best." "Well honestly I'm not that. Yet." David admitted. "I'll train you. Don't worry. Maybe one day you'll be better than me hahaha." Jack said, laughing. "We should get going." Alice said. "Alright. Let's go." Jack said, walking towards the back from which him and Alice entered. David and Alice followed him towards the back door.
Jack opened the door and Alice and David followed Jack out. "So when are you guys gonna tell me about yourselves?" David asked. "When we get everyone together." Jack said, uninterested in his question. "Everyone? There are others?" Alice asked. "Not yet." Jack said. "So you are gathering a team?" David asked. "A little one, but yes." Jack said, walking to the car. "Whoa, for what?" David asked, concerned. "Something big." Jack said. "Why didn't you tell me about a 'little team'?" Alice asked, aggravated. "I'm sorry. I was going to. But it doesn't matter. Now you know. And since you were my first member, you are my most trusted. Remember that, Alice." Jack said, reassuring her. "Ugh fine." She said, giving in. "What's your end game?" David asked Jack. Jack stared at him for a while in the eyes. "What do you mean?" Jack asked, finally. "What's your ultimate goal?" David asked. "To take over the world or something?" He asked, sarcastically. "Haha no." Jack laughed. "It's much more complex than that, my friend." David seemed confused. "Well I'm in now. So I guess there is no getting out. Let's go. We've already wasted enough time." David told Jack and Alice. Jack and Alice got into the car and drove off. Down the road Alice asked, "Where are we going again? And don't give me a general answer. If we are a 'team' like you say we are then give us details." "Fine." Jack agreed. "We are going to kill someone named, James Hunt." He said. "Who is that?" Alice asked. "A life-long enemy." Jack said. "Well, why kill him?" She asked. "He's done a lot of bad stuff to a lot of good people." Jack said. "Ugh we are gonna have to have a little talk in private about the way you speak, mister. Again with the general statements." Alice said, annoyed. "I know this is totally off topic, but are you two dating?" David asked. "No, unfortunately." Jack said. Alice started blushing. "Um. Gosh. This is awkward." Alice said, uncomfortably. "Haha well now it is." Jack said, laughing at her. "You should date. It'll bring light to this dark situation we are about to encounter." David said. "Haha maybe once she stops being so 'awkward'." Jack teased. Alice sped up.
They would soon be close to James Hunt.
