" Baby girl!" Cried Anara, the new mother of Samantha. "I have always wanted a child but couldn't. Also I am so poor I could not afford an adoption fee. So I was overwhelmed with joy when I got the call."
"Ya, Ya here you go." said Beatrice and handed her the baby.
"But what is this beautiful girl's name?"
"You know what, she doesn't even have a name." She said laughing.
"Your name is Samantha, it means heard from God and God really did hear my prayers that I wanted a child. So you are Samantha, heard from God."
Anara took Samantha home to her very small quadruplex home, it means a home connected with three others and normally each home was very, very small.
"Here is home, it's small but will work for the two of us. For now at least. My friend said she would watch you while I am at work, which is most of the day. She lives next door." Anara pointed to a locked door. In Anara's house all there was for for furniture was a ugly garbage dumpster green recliner chair that came exclusively with, many brown dirt spots, and a large tear in the top, and if you tried to lie back in it, it would flip over. Also there was a bed in the kitchen next to a plastic baby doll crib, just big enough for Samantha! Where at her old house she had so much furniture, but she didn't care. She was with someone who loved her truly.
"Sorry honey, but this is going to have to be your bed" Anara said pointing to the crib. She talks to Samantha like she is an adult too. " I know, I know I am just a poor lady that wanted a baby."
In the next few days Anara was working so hard and so often. She was as busy as a bee. But Anara was so happy.
A few years later, Anara grabbed a big pickle jar of cash and coins and left Sam with the babysitter. "Thanks, I'll be back soon." She said and left. Out in town, Anara went into the bakery, she was examining the cakes when she said "Perfect! I'll take this one," she also grabbed a number five candle.
She then went into the toy store, leaving the cake in the car, to get her a present.
Samantha had been talking about how the others kids at her preschool had birthday parties, but Sam had never had one. So Anara saved up.
She then went to a park to set up the party, and guests, her friends from preschool, began to show up. Once she was finished, Anara called the babysitter and told her to bring Samantha over. The guests all hid and when Samantha showed up, they all jumped out and said "Surprise!" They then cut the cake and Sam opened all her presents. Sam had a smile on her face that spread from ear to ear.
