STEP 1
- add your two clips

- press 'Shift + Ctrl + Q' to make a new video track, or right click on the track on the right and click 'Insert Video Track'.
- drag the upper corner of your bottom clip in and then drag the top clip above the part you faded/dissolved.

- only for the top track, click on the green tape shape ('Composition Mode') then click on screen.
