You're going to need the universe plugin: http://www.mediafire.com/file/u9ov6nes3wd4fn1/Universe+1.6.0.zip
This link isn't mine but it's the one I used to install it.
STEP ONE
If it worked, you'll see an effect called 'VHS' and all you have to do is drag it on the tracks/clip you want.Though in my opinion, the default looks very ugly on most edits because of the grain, so these are the settings I use.
SCROLLING
A popular effect on VHS is the scrolling bar that distorts the clip a bit, and in the settings I gave I included the scroll but if you don't want it or want to tweak it, here's how:
You can either increase or decrease the 'Scroll Speed' to set the speed of the scrolling bar or increase or decrease the 'Wrinkle Radius' to set how wide you want the bar.
PS. I recommend adding a track above all your clips and dragging the VHS there, but in the video fx pop up drag the VHS effect behind of 'Composite'.
Because VHS usually makes rendering take longer, this helps in not having to add it to every track in case you want the effect on the whole edit! (the picture won't post sorry about that!)- brianna loves uuuuuu
(this is going to be seokjin's era mark my words its what he deserves)
