The Lie Detector

Oh come on," Troian coaxed. "It's not that bad," she said, lending him one of her famous half smiles. Keegan thought for a moment, pretending to contemplate his options. "Fine. But only if you go first," he replied. "So you're first?" Tori asked, glancing down at the list of questions in front of her, while smiling at the pair. "I guess soo," Troian said sarcastically in reply to the interviewer as she got up from her chair and got into the one in front of them.

Immediately, assistants gathered around her, each getting the test situated around Troian. Once she was settled, both Tori and Keegan began the questioning.

"Before we begin, we'd like to throw a little plot twist, if you will, to this game. You only have a single minute to question each other. When the buzzer sounds, you'll switch," she said.

"Let's start easy," Keegan said, shuffling through a few of the papers filled with questions that fans had sent in, that was laid out in front of him.

"Alright. Are you ready?" Tori asked the couple. They both nodded. "GO!" she said.

"Who's your favorite character on the show?" Keegan asked suddenly.
"What kind of question is that?" Troian responded. "Allison," she said easily.
"Who's your favorite to kiss?"
"Wren," she said, enjoying the surprised look on Keegan's face.
"I'm kidding. I might be murdered next if I said anyone but you," she laughed nervously.
"What's one thing you've wanted to do that you've never done?"
"Go to Harry Potter World," she said easily.
"Have you ever cheated on a boyfriend?"
Troian thought for a second.
"No," she said, the lie easily rolling off her lips.
For a split second, Keegan had a look of mischief in his eyes.
"Have you lied about any of the answers to these questions?" he asked.
"Yes," she said, smiling mysteriously.

"Times up," Tori said suddenly. "Damn that was fast," Keegan said, not really thinking. "You ready, Troi?" he challenged his co-star.
"I think a better question is: Are YOU ready Mr. Allen?" she replied hastily.
"Bring it on," he said.

"GO!" Tori said, once again.
"Favorite episode to shoot?"
"5x02"
"How long do you think it will be until you're married?"
"Four or five years," he responded easily.
"If you were forced to marry any one of the cast members on the show, who would you pick?"
"You. And it wouldn't be too forced."
"Well," Tori interjected. "We're technically out of time-"
"Oh thank goodness. Get me out of here," Keegan said jokingly, while being dead serious.
"But if Keegan, you could stay there, I'll ask a few more fan questions. Either of you can answer, okay?" Tori finished.
"Oh, okay," Keegan said as his face flushed.
"Is Spoby endgame?"
"Yes," he said
"No," Troian said. The pair turned to face her, expecting an explanation.
"You know, in real life, two people who are absolutely head over heels for one another can't always have the best marriage. I do think love is one of the most powerful things on Earth, but sometimes outside forces can separate two people apart. So um..." Troian trailed off. "Honestly, I think it would be nice if they were together, but not completely realistic. I'd rather remember them in their love, than fighting their way through it," she finished.
"Wow, well said," Tori said, smiling brightly.
"Oh here's a juicy one. Now, you don't have to elaborate on your answer, just make it one word," Tori explained. Troian and Keegan nodded in sync.
"Have you two ever kissed...when you were both outside of character?"
"No," Troian lied.
"Yes," Keegan said, their answers overlapping in the air.
Troian slowly closed her eyes, internally wishing he could take it back. Once Keegan saw Troian's face, his heart grew cold. Had she regretted the kiss that much?
