Thank god I was back to my room.

It had been such a long day, and a terrible one at that. My classes went awfully. I swear I'm failing some and what doesn't make sense is that I'm extremely smart. I think I've just been a little distracted lately. On what? Just stress I guess. Stress about nothing in particular. I just haven't been getting enough sleep... That could be it.

I sighed and dropped my bags onto the floor, plopping myself on top of the floral blankets covering my bed. All I really wanted was sleep, but I had a god damn paper due tomorrow. I usually would have finished it weeks ago, but I was too busy procrastinating with god knows what. I mean I only had maybe three pages left to write, but my brain was so fried from the day I was stuck on what to write.

I sat crisscrossed on my bed, pulled my laptop into my lap, and opened it to see my adorable puppy background pop up on the screen. I clicked on Microsoft word to finish my paper. I was honesty having trouble staying awake, but began to write about the theory of abiogenesis and biogenesis. It's a boring subject about how life arises from simple organic compounds. Blah. I thought of a few sentences and wrote them down based on the few notes of research I had left.

I couldn't think at all so I decided to take a quick walk outside.

It was dark outside, but the moon shone brightly through the clouds and the stars twinkled and winked at me as if waving and saying a friendly hello from above. I walked down the street to the market. Maybe a bit of some carbonated, sugary soda would keep me awake; it was around 1:00am. The market was usually open all night, which was pretty awesome when you wanted a midnight snack to keep you going. I turned the corner, only a block away from the shop, only to feel a hand cover my mouth. It smelt funny, what was it? It smelt like chloroform.

'Great. As if this day couldn't get any worse.'

I was panicking as I should have been- most people would in the same situation- and tried to get a shriek out before I went under, but it was muffled. The only sound made was the one of my body being dragged away by who ever the gloved hand belonged to.
