My imagination has seemed to escape me. I guess I'm just really tired. Sorry this chapter is short! I'll try to write another before bed after I take a long shower. I'm really just exhausted though, so I don't know if ill get to it. Oh well... I'll definitely write another chapter tomorrow.

Love ya all!

<Claire's POV>

The sunlight was beginning to fade and Alfred called us for dinner.

"Master Bruce will not be joining us for dinner." stated Alfred with a sigh. I nodded. Questioning why didn't seem like best idea at the moment. I wanted these people to let me stay, not throw me outfit intruding.

Dick gave the man a pleading look as if too say 'what about me?' And he gave him a stern look back. Dick pouted in defeat and pulled out a chair for me to sit in. I sat and he pushed it in, my chest digging into the table a little bit. He looked upset.

'I knew they hate me. I should just leave.' A nervous giggle escaped my lips and both men turned their attention to me. I tried to hide my worry, but they could easily see through my thin mask.

"Miss Watson," Alfred began.

"Call me Claire."

"Uh... Claire... You seem a little antsy. Hungry, are you?"

"Sure, Alfred." I said quietly. He walked into the kitchen with a slow scuffle to bring out the meal awaiting us.

Dick moved his seat closer to mine. "Everything okay?"

I nodded. I didn't really have anything to say to him. 'Claire, you're not worth it to them. Just give it up and leave. Don't stay.' I felt upset and I knew it showed on my face, but I didn't care. I made up my mind. I'd leave after everyone was asleep. 'Loser.' 'God damn you. Shut up!'

Dick looked at me funny and said, "well, okay." and turned back to the dinner table just as Alfred came out with some rolls and a salad. I took a rather large portion of the vegetable, but only one roll, and took a piece of ham when he brought it out.

"Hungry?" Dick smirked at me. I stared at my food with a quick nod and ate silently. He sighed at my undesirable response. I took a while to eat everything, savoring each bite. I hadn't eaten so much in... Well I don't know how long. I rested my hand on my cheek, feeling the rough skin in my hand.

"Ha." I muffled and stood up. "Dick, Alfred?" They both looked up at me with an eager expression on their faces. "May I go to bed?"

Alfred let out a gruesome laugh. "My dear child, you needn't ask!" He stood up and took my plate from the table in one swift motion of his arm and whisked away leaving Dick and his food behind him.

"Well... Goodnight." I smiled slightly, feeling the ends of my lips turn up in their eerie grin.

"Night..." He seemed hesitant and watched me go with uncertainty. I knew he could tell something was wrong, but he didn't know what.

'As soon as they're asleep, I'm out.' I told myself. 'Good.' 'You know, I thought I told you to SHUT UP a while ago.' 'I don't really care dearie, I'm in your head too. You're not alone, dear.'

"Oh what ever." I mumbled quietly out loud. I heard Dick shift in his seat uncomfortably and I climbed up the stairs slowly, with no signs of struggle really. 'Work those legs, Claire.'

I pulled myself onto my guest bed and looked in one of the drawers next to it for something decent to wear. 'Ah black hoodie, black sweatpants. Perfect. Now if only I could get this hair out of my face.' I took a pony holder and grabbed the curly strands of my hair and wrapped the holder around them in a bun.
