<Claire's POV>

"Honey! Calm done!" Pam pushed me back into my seat and gripped my shoulders. "Why are you screaming?"

"J-Jo-Joker. Hu-he's over the-there." I stuttered and pointed a finger in his general direction. I could still see him smiling through the window frame. "He d-did this t-to ma-me." I started to cry.

Pam started to rub smoothing circles on my back and Jonathan and Edward sat by my side. Harvey stayed in his seat, not moving a inch. I don't think he really cared at all. Selina hissed at the boys to keep a slight distance as he scooted into Jonathan's spot next to me. She was wiping my tears away.

"Don't let him get to you. He can't see you, you know." She slightly whispered the words into my ear.

"That's right," Edward started. "He can't touch you or hurt you." He seemed to genuinely care... Weird for a criminal. They seemed pretty nice though. Normal people who were just having a hard time. "That window there is a mirror. We are the only ones who can see through it. He's only seeing his reflection. He's probably just being full of himself and admiring himself. He's in solitary confinement." He took in a breath after speaking and his chest rose and fell heavily from speaking without breathing.

I started to calm myself. 'If he can't see me, then there's nothing too worry about, right?'

'That's where you're wrong, my dear.' I heard him! He was in my head! This couldn't be happening. My face instantly turned white, all of the color draining out of it and my eyes grew wide. I was terrified.

"Claire?" Pam asked. "Are you alight?" I was starting to feel light-headed and wobbly despite the fact that I was sitting down. People don't pass out from sitting positions, but of course I'm not like most people. I had been tortured for months by an evil man. Most people don't go through that, do they?

"Claire?" Pamela asked again, clearly trying to gain my attention. She waved a delicate hand back and forth in front of my face. I turned towards her, eyes even wider than before.

"Claire, you look like you're going to pass-"

She was cut off when I lost my balance, even though I was sitting. My light-headed feeling caught up to me and suddenly I was very dizzy. My eyesight started to fade and everything was turning black before I heard a hiss from Selina and a pair of strong, warm hands catch me and lay me on the couch. I passed out.

"Dick, what are you doing here?" I heard as I slowly regained my hearing. I didn't dare to open my eyes; I wanted to listen to the conversation going on.

It was Selina's voice that was speaking. She sounded angry and I was pretty sure she was the only one in the group of misfits to know the real identity of Batman and Robin. And Bruce told me she definitely would not tell anyone, based on their history. I shuddered at the though of Bruce and Selina... in the manor. I forced myself to stop picturing it. It was grossing me out.

"I was coming to give some things to Claire." He practically hissed right back at her.

"I'm surprised you didn't come with Bruce." She hung his name out in the air for a moment after it rolled off her tongue.
