Chapter VII - New Home

Everyone was dead. Everyone you loved. Everyone you cared about. What did they all have in common?

They all met you.

It's yours. It's all your fault.

But it wasn't. It couldn't be. Alphys and Mettaton are right next to you, no way they would think like that, right?

Undyne is dead.

Because YOU wanted to see Sans.

Papyrus is dead.

Because YOU went to him for help.

Toriel is dead.

Because YOU failed to protect her.

You opened your eyes, and clutched the pillow tight. It couldn't be your fault... It isn't. It's Cha---

"No.", you said, interrupting your own thoughts. "This can't be Chara. Chara was sad. Chara was moody. But they were anything but murderous. That's what Sans told me."

You sighed and stood up from the couch, making your way towards the cold kitchen. Wait... Cold? Usually the place was warmed up. Alphys had told you about the escape plan, but she wouldn't forget you, would she?

She did. She left you behind. It could've been a fatal mistake. It could have been because she didn't care.

You sighed again as tears crawled down your cheeks. You opened up the fridge and looked inside. Nothing. Alphys had taken all the food with them. You fell down on the floor, ass first, and sobbed. It was dark. It was cold. And there you were, crying.

"Y/N? Darling? Why are you still here?" You looked up and saw the robot, more tears appearing in your eyes. You stood up and hugged Mettaton.

"They're all gone....", you whispered.

"I-I know, Alphys went to check on you in your room, but you weren't there s-so..." He sighed. "She assumed you were with the rest of the monsters. Where were you, darling?"

"On the couch..."

"what"

"I was sleeping on the couch... I was crying there last night and fell asleep..."

"But..."

"But what...?"

"HOW ON EARTH COULD SHE FORGET TO CHECK THE LIVING ROOM?!?"

"M-Metta, calm down---"

"NO! THIS WAS PROBABLY THE STUPIDEST THING SHE HAS EVER DONE!"

"Look, we can solve this. Do you have her phone number?"

"Yes, but she left her phone here"

"Then, do you know where the hideout is?" Mettaton put a finger on his cheek, thinking. He rubbed his temples.

"Ah, yes~! The king's castle, dear~! But it is dangerous to go alone, take th---"

"nO"

ah thanks old man that is really very nice i can always count on you for help and friendly advice, tho I've never seen a sword quite that shape or size OH GOD thats not a sword thats your dick in disguise

"Alright then darling, but be careful. Sadly, I can't come with you, as the human will most likely pass trough. Stay safe, Y/N..."

"You too."

"Of course, darling~!" You hugged the robot for the last time, and walked out. You passed trough Hotland. It was empty. There were no Vulkins. There were no Tsundere Planes. There was nothing. Once you reached MTT hotel, not even Sans was there. Neither were Catty and Bratty. You pushed the door open, greeted by the lobby. Someone should fix that fountain, though. You continued walking up to the core. Once exited that place, you reached... Home...? It was exactly the same as Toriel's home, except the colours and... flowers. The entire house was decorated with buttercups. There were no water sausages, nor were there cacti. Buttercups were the only visible form of life. Making your way down the stairs, you noticed the basement hallways were longer than Toriel's. Slowly but surely you started reaching the end. You noticed the elevator in front of you. You stepped inside, and in the middle of the ride, the elevator shook.

Someone was trying to use it.

Alright everyone, I want to apologize for making you wait SO LONG for SUCH a short chapter. I was busy with finals, but now, they're over! The reason the chapter is so short is because I don't want too much progress in one chapter, I didn't want you to wait any longer, and I reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllly wanted to end on a cliffhanger. But, to everything good comes an end! Such as this story. There are only 2-3 more chapters up ahead, that I am currently planning. It could be less, or could be more. But, to make sure you guys don't get too eager, here's a bit of a... "sneak peek"

"WHY AREN'T YOU WITH THE REST?!?", he yelled. You tried your hardest to calm the skeleton down.

"S-Sans, please calm down... I'm going to them... Alright...?" Sans nodded and hugged you.

"you feel so cold..."

"Most likely because I'm terrified..." He smiled softly and cupped your cheek.

"you'll be safe, dont worry y/---" He stopped. "run. run to alphys and everyone else"

"W-What...? Why?"

"please, just do so!" You nodded and ran off. At the end of the corridor, you took a quick glance backwards. The human was in front of Sans.
