Chapter Eight

Life has never been this better,i thought to myself as

i walked to class. My cast came off yesterday,went to

do it in the hospital,Erika was to come along with me

but at the last minute Mrs Everly,the party planner

called her to go over some of the samples. The party

is in less than two weeks so things needed to be

perfect for Erika's dad,from what i heard he deserves

it. I will be meeting Erika today at lunch,we decided

that today was going to be the day where the whole

school was going to know that we were dating,i

couldn't wait. i sighted Nate, "Hey bro, wassup?"

Nate looked around and smiled "i'm more than good

bro,i see your cast is off,good its high time to get

back on the field." i nodded "missed me much?" He

snarled "i ain't got time to miss you,just saying that

cause am sure your skills on the field by now are

rusty." i laughed "Jen needs to teach you a whole lot

of things for one expressing your true feelings when

needed." As i spoke his eyes got dreamy,i know i got

him by mentioning Jen's name, my friend was so in

love with her just like i was with Erika. We got to

class,sat down. John was sitting next to me "dude,i'm

glad to see that thing is gone,its been a long time

coming." "And you can stop feeling guilty," i cut Nate

off 'dude don't feel guilty,i already told you stuffs like

this happens. i don't hold you for it. To be honest me

spraining my ankle has brought me so much

happiness." He looked bewildered "how can

spraining your ankle bring you Joy?" i smiled "what i

mean is that if i had not sprained my ankle i wouldn't

have met the girl of my dreams." Understanding

shone in his eyes "dude,you got it bad,so who is

she,do i know her?" He asked with excitement in his

voice "she's in eleventh grade,has black shoulder-

length hair. Her name is - " i was cut off by Mr

Tyler,the math teacher. . He stood in front of the class

"You will find out soon enough" i mouthed to John.

"Morning class,as you all know we will be having

our test in two weeks time so get ready." i had to

study for the test,i had never been good in math so i

have to study hard.

The rest of the morning went slowly than i

anticipated. Finally it was lunch time me and Nate

went to Erika's class,we had agreed to meet there.
