chapter 4

I wake up to the unsettling noise that is Angelica pacing. Lafayette is no where to be found.
"Angie what's wrong, Where's laf? How did you even get in here ??"
She gives me a stern look then sits down on my bed
"It's Peggy."
"Oh my god what happened ?? Is she okay"
"She's in the hospital."
"Oh my god, what happened please explain !!"
"Come on Laf, Herc, and Eliza are already there waiting, I'll explain on the way."
I quickly stumble out of bed, throw on some jeans and my sweatshirt, grab my bag and run out the door with Angelica.

We hop on the bus sit in the far back.
"Okay tell me what's going on right now."
"It was her girlfriend, she came home today with a bruised eye and a bloody arm and a limp she tried to tell us it was nothing but then she passed out and we took her to the hospital and we don't know what's happened and I came to you as soon as I could."
"Oh my god that's horrible, that just terrible I am going to murder that girl."
The bus stalled to a stop right in front of the hospital and me and Angie raced off. We burst through the doors just to see Herc waiting for us.
He took us up to the seventh floor into room 724. There was Peggy, asleep in the hospital robe, IVs through her arm, the heart rate monitor beeping steadily, I don't like this environment. Her brusied eye clearly visible. Eliza brushes Peggy's shoulder to wake her up.
"he-ey" she struggled
"Just rest okay?" Eliza tries to do everything she can to make sure she's perfectly comfortable and when Peggy finally falls back asleep everyone goes into the hallway so we can talk and not disturb her.
"What are we gonna do to that girl."
"I don't want any of you going out to find her and fight her, you hear me." Eliza makes her firm point then rests aside.
"Well we can't just let this girl go, we can't let her do this to anyone else, we have to tell someone"
"Let's tell Washington, Peggy mentioned something about having his class with her." Laf finally perks up and says, he hadn't said anything for a while.
"That's a good idea, I'll tell him tomorrow I have his class tomorrow" I perk up and say then I remember "oh shit the book signing is tomorrow, Peggy was so excited, this is gonna be terrible."
"Maybe you could take her book and tell the guy that your friends in the hospital and she really wanted to come." Hercules explains
"That's a good idea."
"Okay well you guys should go, Eliza and I are gonna spend the night with her, Laf can you explain to Mr. Groff that I'm with my sister in the hospital and that's why I won't be there tomorrow." Angelica mentions to Lafayette.
"Of course, mon amie, anything else?"
"No. thank you all so much for everything and I promise Peggy will be okay."
And with that everyone dispersed.
The ride back to the dorm is more silent than usual, Hercules dropped us off and told us that he had class so he kissed Laf and drove away.
I placed my arm on his shoulder.
"Hey man are you okay."
"Yea it's just so shitty of a person to do that to such an innocent girl, Peggy didn't deserve that, no girl nor guy deserves that. Abuse is an awful thing. Absolument horrible I hate to see someone in that position." Then he started to spout off things in French until we got to our room and he just collapsed onto his bed and fell asleep.

I'll post the next chapter later which is actually a good one I think ??
I don't even know if this story is good or not I don't know.
