In the previous chapter Tidus was at the Temple of Besaid where one of the priest there told Wakka that the apprentice summoner Yuna has been all day in the Cloister of Trials and and still hasn't come out, as said before, Tidus didn't like the idea that a girl was all day in the cloister of trials and that she is still in there, so he disobeyed the temples rules and went to go help the apprentice summoner even if he wasn't a guardian.
He entered the Cloister of Trials which was like a maze and after finding his way, he found Lulu and Kimahari waiting out of the summoners chambers, called The Chamber of Fayth. Tidus didn't even know them, but he asked:
Tidus: Is the summoner alright?
Lulu: Who are you?
Wakka: How's Yuna?- ask Wakka to Lulu.
Lulu: She's still in there.
All of a sudden Yuna comes out of the Chamber, she was sweating and really weak, she was walking , but she really couldn't, she was to weak. While walking down the stairs she almost tripped and Tidus was going to catch her so she wouldn't fall, but her guardian Kimahari helped her stand up instead.
Yuna: I did it! I have become a Summoner.
After Yuna became a summoner the whole village was happy. Yuna was the next summoner to defeat Sin and bring the next calm till a new summoner was born. Yuna , to prove that she had become a full fledge summoner she had to demonstrate the summoners Aeon, which she had retrieved from the Temple of Besaid. She, using her staff, summoned Valfore, demonstrating that she was able as a summoner to call her guardians of spirit to come before her. Everybody in the village was happy. Lulu and Wakka were proud of her and praised her. Tidus was astonished he didn't know what was an Aeon, he didn't knew were they came from till that moment, but he was amazed.
