I feel shivers crawling up my body. I never felt this way before. Why am I so nervous? I feel my heart beating faster and faster. It feels good to be happy again. I missed being happy.  I let out a small grin. Noah starts talking but all I hear is mumbling. I am mesmerized by his deep blue eyes. His eyes sparkle in the sun like diamonds. "Carrie?" I snap out of my thoughts. "Oh sorry. What were you saying?" Noah chuckles, " I asked if you live around here." I pause for a second. I didn't know what to say. "Uh yeah. Umm over there." I pointed to the big brown building. "How long have you lived there? You don't  look familiar."  "Not long. It's my first time on this beach." Noah nods and smirks, "Well, welcome to the neighborhood." I smile, "Thanks." Noah smiles and shoves his hands into his pockets. He blushes slightly, "Do you want to walk for a bit? If you're not busy." I bite my lip, "Yeah that would be great."

We start walking down the deserted beach. The warm soft sand cushions my feet. The warm salty breeze touched my skin. I take a deep breath and smile. Being here with Noah makes this day even better. We walk closely, almost touching shoulders. I move my hand and it hits his gently. I pretend not to notice but I start to blush. I can feel Noah staring at me. "I always love it here. It makes me feel so alive. I come here when I just want to think or leave that crazy world for a while." I look at him. "Yeah, crazy world." I try not to think about my mom but I just can't. I can't cry in front of Noah. I just met him and I don't want him to think I'm a cry baby. I look at my feet and try not to look at Noah. We walk in silence for a couple of minutes. My eyes are glued to the ground and a tear falls down my face. Noah notices that something is wrong, "Hey, everything ok?" I quickly whipe off the tear off my face and look up and nod, "Yeah everything is fine." I put on my fake smile. Noah nods but I see concern in his eyes. "You want to start heading back?" I nod. The sun was still high up in the sky. No clouds, just the sun. I see a dolphin jump out of the water, "Noah look!" I point to the direction on the dolphin. "Wait there's more! Look!" Two more dolphins jumped out of the water. I smile and I see Noah smiling too. "Wow that was amazing." I awed. "Yeah." Noah smiled and looked at me. We both look into each others eyes for what seemed like ages. A large wave crashed onto the shore and broke our gaze. My legs were all wet. Noah laughed and I couldn't help but laugh too. I splashed him. "Oh no you didn't." Noah picked my up and threw my over his shoulders and ran into the warm salty water. "Noah!!!! What are you doing! Noah!" I was laughing hysterically. Noah threw me into the water. I drag him into the water and we both were soaking wet. He was holding me and my arms were wrapped around his neck. He smiles with his white teeth and his blue eyes. He looked into my eyes. I start to get nervous and awkward. Is he going to kiss me?

He picks me up bridal style and takes me out of the water. He sets me down and gives me his signature smile. The wind was chilly and all of my clothes were soaking wet. I start to shiver a little bit and I hug myself to keep warm. "You look cold. Come here." Noah takes me and hugs me. His body is muscular and somehow warm. We keep walking and Noah still hugs me.

We get to Max's apartment and we stop at the front door. "Thanks for walking me back." I smile. "No problem."He stuffed his hands into his pockets and looks at the ground. We stand there awkwardly for a couple of seconds. I brake the silence, "Well goodbye I guess." Noah scratches his head and looks at his feet, "Um do you want to meet up again? Maybe tomorrow or something?" I smile, "Yeah that would be great." Noah smiles as a sign of relieve. "Ok, bye." Noah waves. "Bye." I wave back. I go to the apartment and open the door. Max is still not back yet from work. I quickly run upstairs and I see Desiree unpacking my clothes. "Why are you all wet?" Desiree looked at me with concern. "Umm... I was on the beach." I looked at the ground trying not to smile. "Why didn't you wait for me!?" Desiree laughed. "Oops." I chuckled. I looked at the empty boxes and the arranged clean closet. "Thanks, Desiree. You really didn't need to do this." She smiled, "Yes I did! I have to help me best best best friend of all time. I love ya bae I would do anything for you." I extended my arms getting ready to hug her and she squeled, "NO YOU ARE ALL WET AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHIRT!" I started running after her and we both began to laugh hysterically. We ran down stairs and I accidently ran into Max and fell to the ground. "Carrie! You okay!?" Max said concerned. Beanie walked toward me and started to lick my face. I chuckled, "I'm alright!" Max helped me up and asked, "Why are you wet?" I quickly glanced at Desiree and looked back at him, "Went to the beach." Max nodded and said, "You should probably go take a shower." I smirked and walked upstairs to my bathroom.

I took a shower and changed into some comfy baggy sweats and an oversized shirt. I go to the kitchen and I grabbed some yogurt and went into living room and turn on the tv. The news turned on and it was breaking news. The reporter said, "There is a hurricane heading towards Fort Bragg, California. It will hit in about 3 hours. It may be the most dangerous storm since Katrina and maybe one of the deadliest. The winds are estimated to be over 100 mphs. Please find safe shelter or evacuate. Stay tuned for further information."

Why does the perfect day have to become a terrible day!? Max and Desiree joined me and watched the screen, "Perfect."  Desiree said sarcastically. "What should we do? Should we just stay here?" I asked. Max looked at me, "Let's not underestimate this storm."

Author's Notes: Sorry I didn't post for such a long time! I've been so busy!!! A pic of the view of the storm is on the side!!! I hope you enjoy! :)
