Later That Day

Trina walked in the club looking for Lozella. The club wasn't as busy today.

"Hey Bo, how you doing? You seen Lozella?"

"Nah, I think in the back. If not, I don't know." Lozella walked to the back going to her office. She opened the door and held her hand to her mouth as she saw Kane going through her money drawer stealing cash and other assets. Trina closed the door. Angry, she walked over to Kane who was in shock to see her.

"What the hell are you doing going through my girl money like that?"

"None of your goddamn business bitch, now get the fuck on!"

"Oh I'll get the fuck on. Best believe Zella gone here about this." Kane looked up at Trina grabbing her hand pulling her toward him and slapping her in the face. Trina hit the floor hard. She looked up at Kane holding her face.

"You not gone tell Lozella shit. We gone both keep fucking her like we been doing and you gone keep your mouth closed. Remember bitch, I know where you stay and I know where your kid go to school. I'll send him back to you chopped in pieces. Your bitch has treated me like her backup long enough. That bitch will be going down as soon as I wipe her of all her fucking assets and all her money. Just wait on it," Kane said with a smirk. "If Lozella find out about this, you and your bastard ass child is dead." Trina got off the ground thinking about her son. She looked away from Kane, leaving the office slamming the door.

Trina walked to the dressing room where the other strippers were. Her mind was everywhere. She didn't want shit to happen to her girl. He wasn't just fucking with Lozella's money but with her money too.

"Janet you got some pills? I got ten dollars for you." Janet pulled out an ecstasy pill and handed it to Trina. She quickly popped the pill in her mouth, swallowing it. It was her turn to go on stage so she didn't want that shit on her mind fucking up her performance. "That nigga not gone get away with this," she said to herself.

Later That Night

Trina made it home. She saw a car in her driveway so she figured Lozella was there. She unlocked her door, seeing Lozella in the living room with Trayvon.

"Hey y'all." Trayvon walked up to his mom, hugging her. "What y'all over here doing?"

"Watching ninja turtles."

"Oh that's good. You do your homework little boy?"

"Yeah, I helped him with it," Lozella said. Trayvon was in the second grade so he had homework almost every other night.

"Thank you baby," Trina softly kissed Lozella on the lips. She paused, looking at her, then kissed her again.

"You okay?" Lozella asked. She saw she was a little uncomfortable.

"Naw, I'm fine," Trina said, looking over at Trayvon. She wanted to tell Lozella what she saw today, but thought about her son and just couldn't muster up the words. She felt guilty as if she were the one taking from Lozella. She was caught between a hard work. "I'm making dinner tonight," Trina said, walking to her room, undressing.

"You sure you okay baby?" Lozella had to ask one more time. Trina looked at her again. This time like she wanted to cry but she knew she had to keep it together. It felt like she was choosing between her son and Lozella and of course she was going to choose her son. She hated it had to be that way.

"Do you miss your mom?" Trina asked Lozella, out of the blue.

"Yes, I miss her every day. Why do you ask?"

"Well, I don't know. Just was thinking about my mom. She died of cancer just like your mom and it was so sudden. She chose to hide it from everybody so when we finally found out, nobody got a chance to take in the whole situation before she died the next day. Today is the anniversary of her death. That's why I've been so antsy all day. Just thinking about my mom. When your mom died, it brought back all the feelings. I was only sixteen when she died and my dad, he didn't know what to do with his self after she was gone. He faded away slowly until his own death, four years later. I had to take care of my two little brothers and make sure they finished school and stayed out of the streets. It was rough. Being nineteen and taking on that big of a responsibility. I guess once I finally got to be free I went wild. Trina laughed a little. So did Lozella. "I ended up dating my first girlfriend. She beat my ass every day. I can't believe I allowed that for so long. I finally got away from her sorry ass and put a restraining order on her.

"Well you here now so you don't have to worry about that no more." Lozella reassured her. "Your mom and dad would be proud of you. Your two brothers are off in college making something for themselves. You did good."

"Yeah but what happened to me?"

"Sometimes blessings take longer for others but you'll get yours baby. You got me, always." Lozella wrapped her arms around Trina, kissing her neck.

"I love you," Trina said.

"I love you too baby. Lozella loved her some Trina, which is why she was thinking about calling it quits with Kane. He was a jealous maniac and she was tired of dealing with him. They were running out of chemistry anyways. She felt the distance between them. She didn't know why and she didn't care. She had fun with her known love triangle but her heart was all for Trina.
