Luna's mother watched as Luna shuffled into the kitchen.

"Luna, I have your favorite, lavacados!" Luna's mother sang.

"Mother, we have that everyday. When can dad go hunting?" Luna asked.

"Honey, being chief is a very hard job! You'll understand when you get there." Luna's mother responded.

That made Luna more impatient.

"But mother! Why, why can't dad make time for a simple hunting trip! I'm sure I could!" Hissed Luna.

The chief, hearing the commotion, walked into the room.

"Luna, don't speak back to your mother! To your room!" He scolded.

"But-"

"Without dinner."

"At least there's a bright side to it." Luna grumbled.

She then turned and stormed off to her room.

Her parents watched, sighing sadly they went back to their duties.

'If the hunters don't go hunting I'll go myself.' Luna thought to herself.

She walked toward her shelf and grabbed her bow and her quiver.

She crept towards her window hoping her parents wouldn't hear.

Looking back at her room one last time, and she saw her hunting knife resting on her dresser. 'I think I'll need that.' she snuck back into her bedroom and snatched up the knife before jumping out of her room and sprinting into the forest.
