"We have got to stop meeting like this." I giggle, my face in Nick's chest. We were at the reception of Sophie's sister, Mandy's, wedding and Sophie and her sister were dancing like idiots, and it was pretty amusing. Myself on the other hand, I like to not embarrass myself by trying to dance. Especially in front of all these people. There had to be at least two or three hundred here.
"I don't mind." He chuckles as I left my head to look at him.
"Stop that." I tell him in a stern tone.
"What?" He asks, taking a sip of whatever he's drinking and smirking.
"Looking at me like that." I bat my eyelashes, not realizing it at first.
"Like what?" He laughs.
"Never mind." I suddenly feel embarrassed and go to find Sophie. I see her still dancing with her sister, so I sit at our table and leave her to have her fun. It just so happened, that was his table as well.
"I wanna get to know you." He tells me from across the nicely decorated table.
"Okay. What do you want to know?" I challenge him, smirking and drinking my Diet Coke.
"Simple stuff." He shrugs and looks around us, seeing that everyone is most scattered around the room.
"Alright. My name is Aaliyah Marie Paxton. I'm 21, and I live in a small house by myself. My parents have been divorced since I was 7. I haven't had any contact with either of them for a few years. Actually since I was 11 and so I went to a foster home. I've never had a stable relationship due to my past, and I'm just waiting for the right guy." I sigh and see his reaction.
"Wow. That's pretty intense."
"Yeah. What about you?" I question, taking another drink of soda. I study the bubbles on top as he begins to talk.
"Okay. I'm Nicholas Jerry Jonas and I'm 21 as well. My parents are still together and I have three brothers. Kevin, Joe, and Frankie. Frankie's my younger brother. Kevin is married and has a little girl. I've had two relationships but they didn't work out in the end."
"Pretty cool." I smile at him warmly and feel butterflies in my stomach as he looks at me. His deep brown eyes pull me in, something I've never noticed before. Considering whenever we saw each other, we ended up sleeping together. Which was only two occasions.
"Wanna go for a walk? It's getting stuffy in here." Nick suggests to me, finishing off his drink. I nod and we both stand up, and I smooth my dress out.
"You look really good tonight." He whispers in my ear, putting his arm around me as we begin to walk out into the fresh air of the golf course.
"You look handsome yourself." I say back to him. We walk into the grass, my heels suddenly not clacking. When we get on the grass, he stops us. I look at him bewildered as he puts his lips on mine. I lifted my leg, bending it at my knee as he put his hands firmly on my waist.
"Woah." I breath as he pulls away.
"What do you say I take you on a proper date tomorrow?" I start to blush as I tell him my immediate response.
"I'd say, that sounds amazing." I smile from ear to ear, but try my hardest to keep my composure.
Hours later, I was sitting on my couch and watching Netflix, texting Nick. I was still grinning widely, not being able to wait for tomorrow.
"Wanna come over?" I ask him as he answers the phone right away.
"Sure. What's your address?" I tell Nick and he says that he'll be here in about ten minutes. I went into the bathroom to make myself look a bit more presentable. I put my hair up in a bun and then removed my makeup, brushing my teeth as well one more time. There was a knock at the door as I was closing my bedroom door and making sure my house wasn't too messy.
"Hey." I breath out as I open the door to reveal him.
"Hey babe." He smirks at me, giving me a quick kiss.
"What, are we a thing now?" I ask him with a sarcastic tone.
"We could be." He shrugs and walks into my house. My whole body becomes hot as I follow behind him. I never answered him, but went on to showing him the house.
"This is the kitchen. It's also the dining room, I guess. Even though I usually eat in the living room anyway." We walk out into the last room I had to show him. My bedroom.
"It's really plain, but it's something. I've only been living here for about a month. I'm working on buying it and not just renting." I say. Nick wraps his arms around me from behind, kissing the back of my neck.
"I think that's a great idea." I say to him while breath heavily as I slip off his jacket. We sit on the end of my bed and I sit myself on his lap.
"You are so beautiful." Nick says to me, beginning to undress me. His lips meet the skin of my neck and lead to my chest.
"Is this happening?" I breathlessly ask him. Without a word, Nick continued to kiss me like nothing. His hands found their way to the waistband of my leggings and he began to slip them down my body.
"I'll take that as a yes." I chuckle and put my hands in his hair.
