"Our two year anniversary is a pretty big deal Nick." I say in an irritated tone, throwing my hands up in the air. Finn was just sitting on the couch, not sure what to do as Nick and I were arguing right in front of her.
"I'm sorry, I just haven't had time to make any plans. I was going to-"
"It's a little late to make plans now Nicholas!" I yell at him, going into my room and slamming the door. Tears began to well in my eyes, but I didn't let them fall. I was so upset at him for basically forgetting about our anniversary all together. I've been thinking about it all week. Tomorrow was our two year. About ten minutes later, I went out to the living room and Finn was still sitting on the couch, but my boyfriend was nowhere to be found.
"Where'd he go?" I ask my sister, sitting by her on the couch.
"He went home. Said that he'd call you later. I'm really sorry that he forgot. That would suck." Finley turns to me, sitting Indian-style across from me. I do the same and look sadly into her blue eyes.
"Yeah." I sigh and slump my shoulders.
"I'm gonna go to bed though. I love you and will see you in the morning sis." She gets up and kisses my forehead before walking into her bedroom that was just next to mine. I yawned and stretched my arms. I shut off my tv and went into the bathroom, removing my make up and brushing my teeth. After that, I went to close my curtains when I heard a tapping noise on my window. How cheesy, Nick. I open up my window and stare at him with a smirk, but try my hardest to make it look like I'm upset. I mean, I am an actress in training.
"You want me to come down there don't you?" I question. Nick nods and I close the window. It was chilly and I was only wearing spandex shorts and a tank top, but I didn't feel like changing. I slipped on flip flops and headed out into the backyard. My boyfriend was standing there, lights all around in the grass and the arch-way I put back there was lit up. I had decorated my backyard a few months ago, and so there's now a full patio and the grass is always kept nice since I bought the house around the same time.
"Aaliyah Marie." He gets down on one knee under the arch-way and I can't help but put my hands over my mouth and gasp, getting emotional all of a sudden.
"When I met you, neither of us were in the best state. But when I really saw you and talked to you for the first time, I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I bought this ring about a year ago, but didn't have the courage to ask. So I'm asking you now," he pauses and his eyes are gleaming with tears like mine," be my wife and make me the happiest man in the whole world?"
"Yes baby. Yes." I tell him in a whisper shout because my happiness won't let me speak any louder. He stands up to put the beautiful engagement ring on my finger and I wrap my arms around his neck, giving him a long kiss. He puts his hands on my waist and lifted me a few inches off the ground.
"I love you so much." He exhaled after another sweet kiss.
"I love you. And I am so happy I'll get to spend the rest of my like with someone as amazing as you Nick." I put my forehead to his and smile at him. He puts me down and we look up to my window. Finn is standing there, looking at us through the open glass. We all start laughing and double over.
"We've got another surprise for you." He says in my ear as he puts his arms around me from behind. I raise an eyebrow and smirk.
"We?"
"You'll see." He takes me into the house and I see boxes everywhere in the living room. Some were empty, and some were taped shut. I look between him and my sister, confused.
"We thought it'd be best for you two to move in together. We knew you'd been talking about it for awhile, but wasn't sure what to do. But here you go." Finn talks, motioning to all the boxes around her.
"Happy anniversary baby." Then I see that it's midnight. It was officially our anniversary.
"This is so amazing Nick." I turn around to hug him so tight I think I may have almost suffocated him.
"Well, do you want to get to my house now or wait?" He asks me, looking like he was ready for either option.
"Let's start moving!" I say happily, Finn smiling brightly.
"Wait," I say as I look over to my sister, "where is Finn going to go?"
"She's going to get this house. It was the best option since she was already living here." Nick shrugs and gives me a boyish smile. I look over to Finley and she looks truly happy for me and for herself even.
"You two planned this whole thing?" I question as we're all putting things in boxes.
"Yup." My sister and boyfriend, oops fiancé sorry, say in unison.
"You two are amazing."
