Annalise
Ashton was cute asleep. He's laying in the hospital bed. I love him. Before he fell asleep, he said he wants to be with me. I want to be with him too, of course.
I can't wait to get him out of this hospital. Then we can be free and safe and happy, until next year. Next year we aren't going to purge. Next year we'll stay home.
I'm so happy that we made it. We were successful. We haven't lost each other, and that is what makes me happy. We haven't lost each other, and maybe that's a sign telling me, it was supposed to happen. Maybe that's why he came to my house. Maybe he knew somehow, we were going to make it and the other's weren't.
Ashton's eyes open, when he seen me, he smiled. "Hey, Anna," he says. I hold his hand. "Don't speak, doctors orders," I say. He rolls his eyes. "But, I want to talk to you," he says, holding my hand. "Too bad," I say. He sighs. "I love you, you know that?" I ask. He nods.
"Good. Now, go back to sleep," I say kissing him one last time before leaving the room.
I walk out of the hospital and get in my car. Before I start driving, I pull out my phone. I dial Michaels phone number. Obviously, it goes to voicemail, but I just want to hear him say my name, one last time.
"I can't get to the phone right now. Can't pick up for two different reasons. I'm sleeping, or I'm with my best friend, Annalise May Hemmings. Leave a message and I'll get back to you. Peace," says Michael's voice message. Then there's the beep.
"Hey, it's me, Anna. I miss you. I'm sorry for happened. I'm sorry for everything. Yeah, I know, it's not my fault. I understand that. You were my best friend, and I have to feel sorry. Maybe it was supposed to happen the way it did, though. You're time came, everything happens for a reason. I love you. Bye, Mike. I'll see you when my time comes," I say and hang up.
I start my car and drive. It's over, it's all over. And now everything is the way it was meant to be.
