Hermione let out a deep sigh, pulling her hair into a low bun. She was wearing an oversized white tee shirt that fit her like a big dress. "Abaddon ..." She whispered out as she read the book, her eyes reading each and every line.
"Knock, knock." Draco entered the room holding a towel, running it through his wet hair.
Hermione gasped as she glared up at him. "Don't you knock?"
"Uh, I did, technically." He said matter-of-factly
She rolled her eyes and placed the book down on the table. "How's your bruise?" She asked, walking over towards him with her hand. She was surprised to see him wearing jeans and a white shirt. He looked nice – in regular clothes other than suits and ties.
"It doesn't bother me," He said, turning his back towards her.
Hermione nodded and pushed his shirt up to his neck to check his bruise. "Hm, you used hot water, didn't you?"
"Yes,"
"What did I tell you?"
"I like hot showers,"
"Well, you made your bruise worse, idiot." She snapped, pushing the back of his head roughly as she shook her head.
"Ow," He touched his head and turned his neck to look at her. "Are you hurting a patient, Granger? Are you sure you're a Healer?"
"It's because you're an idiot." She replied and pushed his cheek the other way to make him face forward again. "Don't move," She ordered and placed her wand over his bruise, muttering spells under her breath.
He immediately felt a cool touch sitting on his throbbing bruise and let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, that feels ... great."
"Of course," She said and pulled his shirt back down. "Okay, you're good. But please, Draco, do as I say. When you're my guardian, I listen to you. Now, it's your turn to listen to me because right now, I'm your Healer."
"Fine," He said, fixing his shirt as he turned around to face her. "I get it, sorry I went against your orders, Dr. Granger." He said with sarcasm dripping from his voice, a big smirk slapped on his face.
"You're impossible," She chuckled softly and pushed him away. "Could you find me a map of Diagon Alley and place it here on the table?" She asked as she walked back to the table, picking up the book. "I found out a little more about this Abaddon bloke,"
Draco ambled over to a table and pulled out the drawers, looking through all the maps.
"Abaddon is a term that has appeared in the Bible as both a place of destruction and as the name of an angel." Hermione recited as she read the book.
"What? An angel?" Draco asked as he flipped through each map.
"Supposedly," Hermione stated and closed the book. "Abaddon is here to destroy and wreak havoc for as long as he can."
"And kill as many people as he can." Draco said grimly as he pulled out the map. "Found it," He said, walking over and placing it on the table. "Why do we need this?"
"I believe his attacks were intentional. They may seem random, but they aren't." Hermione smirked and examined the map. "Give me something to write with," She ordered as she placed her hand out, looking down at the map.
He opened a drawer from the table and found a pen, placing it on her hand.
Hermione looked down at the pen and then up at him. "We have pens?"
"Potter chose this safe house so if you haven't noticed, we have a lot of muggle contraptions and such. Don't be surprised because of a mere pen," He said.
