7am Monday morning everyone was back at the office, I was sleeping at the same office all weekend as no one could or did for whatever reason locate my mother, and I woke up to large and rather loud feet trying to creep past my room to no avail.
Waking up slowly with a groan I roll out of the sofa and land on the floor with a loud thud. As I do the feet stop and back up stopping at the door, I know that he I'm assuming heard me embarrassingly fall on the floor so I call out "it's alright, just me. Put your gun away Morgan".
At this the door opens and sure enough Morgan pops his head in and sheepishly smiles "hey, you awake then?".
Rubbing my head "ugh yes, no thanks to you Mr Morgan"
Finally surrendering to me he puts his hands up in defeat "ok ok" whispering to himself while smiling "damn if looks could kill".
This tipped me over the edge and I burst out laughing for a good minute. Suddenly I hear multiple feet coming up the stairs and then there stand Hotch, Garcia, and Spencer in the doorway with Morgan sitting with me half laughing half staring at me weirdly.
Hotch looks sternly at us then clears his throat drawing our attention away from ourselves "now that we are all up there are matters we need to discuss, so conference room in 5" then he walks off followed by a hesitant Garcia.

Spencer stands there for a second before whispering to me "we were actually having a competition/ bet to see who would wake you up and who could walk past the most times before you woke up, I think Morgan lost" then he turns away and back then walks away, leaving Morgan sitting there laughing hysterically at Spencer's comment.

I was curled up within the conference room on the couch in the corner. My ears had perked at the conversation of another case led by Garcia but it seems that Hotch had noticed and quickly hushed her before looking upon me, "This is a case we need to look at but for now, it not entirely relevant. We take care of our own." He tried to gently coax me into comfort but the 'smile' on his face had been presented much more as a grimace before he continued, "Rose. We have found your mother." Relief rang through me. "But you are unable to go home with her. She had admitted herself into rehab. We read that she had been abusing alcohol and didn't know how to properly release her frustration and when she did, she did it the wrong way." His voice was gentle, but strained. I already knew my mother had . . . problems, with me especially but my father had always she said she left for a business trip each time, not to try and get better.

Refusing to run out at the first sign of bad news again, I try and get answers as to why she would do that to me and more herself. Wiping my eyes so they don't think I can't take care of myself as I will need to now I ask "Where is she staying?" That's the simplest question I can think of to start with, I'll go and visit her, get answers and maybe she'll come home so I can live 'with her'.

Spencer looks to me with those big, sad eyes that they all reserve for victims and their families. "We can't tell you that as she is in intensive care so no visitors are allowed, and she has requested that they do not let you go and visit her. I think the exact words from her record were 'I do not want that whore of a princess daughter trying to manipulate me into coming home and being her slave, I am getting better and choose to stay that way. So keep that slutty motherfu..."

Before Spencer finishes Hotch cuts him off by saying "Ok thank you Reid, I think Rose gets the message, if that is all then you are dismissed."

Yet again I am wiping my eyes at the fact that my only mother I have known would be so cruel, I know we didn't get along but she is all I've had for a female figure ever.

Seeing my distress Spencer is shooed out of the room by a flamboyant Garcia and Hotch follows suit, leaving Garcia cooing over me and Morgan pacing the room shooting colorful words at no-one in particular. At this Garcia goes to him and whacks him round the head saying "Not appropriate anywhere Morgan, cut it out. This isn't helping anyone." Then they both wander over to me like a pack of synchronized puppy's trying to de-stress it's owner. They crouch down slowly in front of me, looking very worried and Garcia is stroking my head and back trying to console me, whispering over and over "it'll be ok" and "we're here".
Morgan is deep in thought when he almost whispers inaudibly "where will she go now, foster care for a year is pointless... Unless" he pauses and looks up at me , rather exited "how'd you like to come and stay with me for a while, it'll be like having a room mate and that way everything is done legally, and... you could get work experience in the FBI, where better than with us? What do you think Rose?"
I am shocked honestly, Morgan the tough, arrogant jock of the FBI wants to live with the victim of the job, even for a little while? Of course I'm going to accept! I mean it beats a group home where all the kids over 13 go because no one wants a teenager and there is not enough parents wanting to adopt kids.  "Yes! Oh Morgan yes! You have no idea what your doing for me, it'll be like I'm not even there, I promise." With that I jump up and hug both Morgan and Garcia. Everyone here is so nice, it seems unreal!
Garcia laughs a little, as she does and then let's go of us both and hurries out the door with a teary eye saying "I am going to call the others in to hear the news!"
Morgan lets go, only holding on to my shoulders and looks at me, whispering softly "Kid, nothing is going to hurt you again, not as long as I'm around ok". Holding back tears I half laugh and half cry back a rather unintelligent response of a head nod, then rush back in for one last hug before the others get here.
At that in rushes everyone else, obviously seeing the tears in Garcia's eyes and needing to know what could have happened in those few minutes since they left. Hotch is first in the door looking at us with a stern eye, I am willing for someone to break the silence. I don't know how they will take the news or if Morgan's even allowed to take victims in, aren't I just part of the job? Don't they just make sure I'm alive and then put me where I'm supposed to go? CRAP! Now I want to just run out the door, I don't want to get anyone in trouble or make them feel bad, they have been nothing but nice and if anything happens it will be because of me. I refuse to run away again, they'll be expecting it more now anyway and Morgan would just try and catch me, to at least make sure I don't end up on the street.
Pulling me back to reality Hotch clears his throat and examines my face for any sign of my thoughts, but I quickly change my face and look to Morgan for assistance. Garcia is the one to break the silence by saying "well I suppose we shouldn't leave you all standing here catching flies, wondering whats so important. So sit and all shall be revealed."
Spencer rushes to take his seat, obviously eager to hear the news while Hotch trails behind him looking very professional. Morgan nods at me, telling me to start it off "Ok, well not long after you left just before, I was thinking that no one will want me and about how it is crazy that my mother has done what she has, then Morgan noticed me sitting there in tears and came to help me, g-getting a brilliant idea... That-that... ICOULDLIVEWITHHIMFORALITTLEWHILEASFOSTERCAREFORABOUT1YEARISPOINTLESS" taking a shaky breath I compose myself awaiting their thoughts about this decision.
Everyone is silent until Hotch walks over to us and pats Morgan on the shoulder saying "well done, I thought it was going to be Garcia that broke first and offered her home to Anne though"
"Really Hotch even my sculpted mass of chocolate thunder hasn't been in there, but nice try in trying to weasel your way into my fortress" Garcia then trotted out of the room looking back saying "the only time you'll be in there is when I'm dead or have almost died".
Morgan stands up and stretches his hand out to me "come on then, let's get your stuff sorted and packed. We'll look at that case tomorrow right Hotch?".
Hotch nods subtly at Morgan then informs "yes, the case is no more urgent than this matter. The unsub is not rapidly escalating and seems relatively in control of him or herself, so this will be looked at in a day or two. Now if you will excuse me I need to contact the Illinois PD and inform them that they will have to wait".

Upon arriving at the now hollow house that I used to call home I notice that it is darker than it used to be, it feels deserted and empty.
I hop out of Morgan's black SUV and unlock the door with the spare key that, yes, is actually kept under the mat. The inside of the house looks the same, same sofa, same table, everything but it looks darker and emptier. I just want to get my stuff and go. So I promptly walk down the hallway that I last walked down to hide from the same person I'm about to live with, I reach my room and open the door. Seeing my old room is strange because I am regretful for what happened even though I know I could do nothing about it, but also quite relived that I won't have to come into this cold, empty shell of a house anymore. So I grab my pink duffel bag and suitcase that I haven't used before as there was never a need, and I pack everything a want to take with me. I take my toothbrush and other toiletries, all my fitting clothes, shoes, hairbrush and ties, my few jewellery that I stole from my 'mother' when I was young, my radio, alarm clock, books, stationary, school supplies, camera, charger, laptop, and a sweet poem that my dad wrote for me when he first got me.
With everything packed up I wheel my suitcase and lug my bag out of the room and am about to go to Morgan's car when he stops me and takes the duffle bag from my shoulder and walks to the car with me saying nothing.
When we finally get to his car Morgan opens the boot and throws my bag down inside, taking the suitcase from me and placing that in next to the bag more gently.  Closing the boot he turns to me and says "you alright kid?"
Surprised I naturally answer "yeah I'm fine" after thinking and Morgan giving me a look of doubt I add "can we go though, this house gives me the creeps".
He sighs and walks to the drivers seat of the car, getting in slowly and shuts the door. I follow suit and quickly jump into the passenger seat, ready to leave this place.  Clicking my seat belt on Morgan turns to me and asks seriously "are you ready Rose? Sure you want to go through with this? It's a big thing to leave behind what you know even if it wasn't all that great."
He must be crazy because I can't wait to leave this place and never come back! I turn to him and look him determined in the eye "Morgan, if I didn't want to leave I would have said, I know my options. Don't doubt me again please."
Surprised he just nods and drives the car. I sit back content with my road ahead.
Okay guys, a short one I know. I'm sorry but I needed to hurry up and update! Hope you enjoy it, the next chapter will start with Rose getting settled into her new home and life. Hope you enjoyed MRGJHRR16.
