Sir Leonard nodded in my general direction. My stare was cold and icy reflecting the grey in my eyes, watching the guard shove forward the boy, around fifteen years old, that been had plucked from the group whom, now, looked rather relieved. He reluctantly got to his knees, flinching as the skin coming through his trouser knees touched the marble floor, his scraped and scarred hands shivering as they touched the floor.

"Arise. You have been evaluated by Lady Hepwick whom has decided that you be the new Chosen. And brought to Trail's Cove to continue the peace from The Sirena." Sir Leonard said in a sombre tone despite his earlier excitement.
"What is your name, Chosen?" Asked Sir Leonard simply.
The boy just looked at the floor sheepishly
"Come on boy, speak up." Urged Sir Leonard with a hint of irritation in his voice.
"Aidan...Aidan Fynn..." The boy mumbled.
"Walk forward, approach the Council, Aidan Fynn." Commanded Sir Leonard.
Aidan shuffled forward, whilst Duchess Cecily Hopewing beckoned a servant to bring water for the three Unchosen. The servant went about pouring water into beautiful bronze goblets with silver patterns scrawled along the rim. They all snatched their goblets and drank the refreshing water until their goblets were completely dry. A couple of the Council members looked slightly disgusted with their uncouth behaviour. The servant that had poured the water had a mob of brown hair with a leather tunic, an off-White shirt, black trousers and deer hide boots. Katherine couldn't help but think that there was something familiar about him. But just couldn't put her finger on who he was....

Suddenly, her attention was caught by something.
A small gasp escaped from her lips.
Aidan was shuddering violently, his hands vibrating as if he were struck with a bolt of lightning that reverberated through his spine causing him to collapse, clutching his stomach. Horrible retching noises scraped from his throat. Foam spilled out of his mouth, forming a pool by his side. His eyes rolled back into his head.
Katherine looked on in horror. Her body a stone statue, a tree rooted in place.
Finally, Aidan was still. His breathing barely noticeable and shaky. Until, Katherine swore she couldn't see it at all. For a few moments, everyone was still, in shock. She heard Countess Isabella curse under her breath. Lord James Meadby ran over to the body shaking his head in disbelief. Countess Marabella Swan screamed like a hundred Ravens screeching, swooping ominously overhead.
