Chapter 9: A History Lesson and the Royals (Part 2)

After hearing all this I was shocked, but a part of me couldn't help but be relieved. Relieved that I wouldn't be taking the alpha position away from Zavier. It would just be a little more complex than that, I guess he would be my king of sorts. Would his wolf be a god?

"A very, very strange type of king, but a king none the less. A king and a god how interesting," said Aria.

"You! Why didn't you tell me anything?" I asked her, seemingly fighting with myself.

"Well I never knew."

My mouth gaped in awe. How could she- no I take that back. How could we not know what we are?

"What is it?" Zavier said with a look of concern. My gaze softened as I looked into the blue eyes I've know for what seems to be a lifetime, but in reality has only been less than a month.

"Or has it," said Aria.

"Well anyways, why don't we get back to the important topic at hand," Conner said ruining my train of thought  What did Aria mean by that? Are my memories of Zavier no complete either?

"Now you still don't who killed you parents do you. Oh, by the way, don't worry your adoptive parents have already been told that you're here with me. Actually they also knew your parents, your adoptive dad was your father's brother. But on another note you might not know who killer your parents, but I do."

After Conner said that questions flooded my mind. Things like "Who did it?" and "How does he know?" But the most important, and repeated, question of my entire life has been "Why?" and this situation has me asking the same question. Why did they take them away from me. Prevent me from making memories with my parents that every child should have, I earned those memories. I never did anything wrong, did I?

"The Council," Conner said in a low voice.

"What?" I asked, suddenly being throw out of my daze and into reality.

"The Council," he repeated. "The council destroyed the royal family in secret for their power. So imagine how desperate the were when they found out that your mother had royal blood flowing through her veins, the blood of the first werewolfs. Do you know why the first werewolfs were so special?"

I shook my head violently wanting him to continue. To tell me why these seemingly good people would do such a thing.

"Because the first weres were given some of the Goddess' blood. Their powers were magnificant. So when the prophecy came saying that there would be a child with more power than ever imaginable, they became scared. Scared and greedy. Scared that the one from the prophecy would take what they thought they could obtain, and greedy for the power that was never meant to be theirs," Conner said.

"The daughter. The last daughter, shall be the one with power uncontained. So pure. So raw. So powerful. Mixed with the first of the werewolfs and the Moon Goddess herself, nothing will disrupt her path. She will obtain what's rightfully hers," Aria whispered, yet it didn't seem as if it was Aria. Could wolfs be possesed?

"The prophecy has come true," Zavier said in a soft voice. I could feel the gears turning in his head through our mind link. I could feel him trying to comprehend the situation I am in. And finally I could feel his frustration. His frustration in knowing the possible danger I am in.

An arrow came speeding through a window and towards my head. With amazing speed I dodged it. It lodged itself into the wall behind me. I ripped the arrow out of the wall only to see a silver arrow head coated in acid, the wall began to dissolve from where the arrow hit. On the arrow I could make out letters carved into the wood that read, "BEWARE YOUR TIME IS UP".

With that I felt something inside me come to a rolling boil. Anger. Hatred. Revenge. Along with these emotions I felt something else. Pure raw power coursed through my veins. I felt-

"Awakened," I whispered. Something inside of me hummed, as if it was breathing life into a remote and untouched part of my soul. I found myself wondering how I could have ever lived without this part of me.

"You happen to find your mate, but you have also stumbled along secrets that were meant to have been taken to the grave," Aria said in a distant tone. "Ahh how bittersweet."
