Isabelle Lightwood walked down the dim hallway. Her heels clicked down with her and the echoing could be heard though most of the New York Institute, as it was empty besides her and one other person-Simon Lewis. As Izzy walked, her eyes were red and puffy from crying. She was truly in love with Simon but she was heartbroken. Simon had sacrificed his memories to save the warlock Magnus Bane. That meant Simon didn't remember anything; not his friends or family. Just small and other random memories. That also meant he didn't remember her- his girlfriend. She was absolutely heartbroken when she asked him if he knew who she was, and he said no. Simon didn't even know her name in that moment. She had to get up and walk away before she started to cry in front of him. She did not want him to see her cry. Isabelle hated crying, it made her feel weak. She wiped her eyes before she knocked on Simon's door. She just wanted to see him, maybe even try to help him. "Simon...? Are you awake?" she stood there before she heard him get up and open the door. He smiled "Hey Izzy, what's up?" It still hurt seeing him so casual, he used to pull her close and kiss her forehead since he was almost a foot taller than her even in heels most of the time. She missed that so much. All he did now was give a friendly smile and wave a little bit. She smiled sadly and sighed. "Nothing much.." she said "How are you feeling?" she asked. He smiled "I'm feeling good. Did you need something?" he asked. She shook her head. "No.. I just thought we can maybe...spend a little bit of time together?" she said "You know...before Jace comes and starts training with you" Jace volunteered to help train Simon since he was a shadowhunter now, Clary had given him that option. Clary had told Simon about him losing his memories and she tried her best to help him maybe remember things and she had asked him if he wanted to become a shadowhunter- and she did say yes. Ever since then he has started to go through training and trying to jog his memories with her. Izzy usually didn't want to help since it still hurt to see Simon not know who she was nor who he was. But today she wanted to see him. "Is there anything you wanna do?" she asked. Simon just smiled. "We can watch a movie?" he suggested. She smiled "Sure! What movie?" "I was thinking Star Wars" he grinned. She nodded and soon enough they were downstairs while Izzy was in the kitchen, trying her best to cook popcorn. Simon was in the other room setting up the movie for them. He came in after a little bit to let her know that everything was set up. They moved to the room where the TV was and they could watch the movie. She set the bowl of popcorn between them and Simon took a few pieces and popped them into his mouth with a smile. Izzy watched with a small smile on her face. "So" she started. "Is Clary helping you remember anything?" she smiled at him weakly. He looked at her and nodded. "A little bit. But not a whole lot of things. Things like memories from when I was younger. I'm starting on my childhood first and then Clary figured we can work our way up from there." he explained to her. She nodded slowly and started to process what he was saying. "Are you remembering anything about people?" He sighed "Kinda I guess. I only remember small things about Clary and my family. But its small things and then there's nothing else. Why is there something important you think I should remember?" he asked innocently. She sighed and pulled a fake smile. "No...nothing particular" she lied and looked away slightly. She didn't want to look into his eyes and have the feeling to start crying in front of him. "Well...there's something I'm starting to remember, but-I...I don't know if it's real or not" he said and looked at her. "Things get fuzzy...like I don't know if they're real or not. Plus this doesn't feel like it would be real.." he said quietly. She looked back up at him. "Well what do you think these memories are?" she said. Simon sighed and rubbed his temples a little bit. "I...I think I had a...a girlfriend" he said and looked at her innocently yet confused.
