remember when we went roller skating? Well believe it or not that was the best day of my life, I can almost see it now. You sitting at the bottom of the ramp, cheering me on because you thought I could skate down without dropping and man was you wrong lol. As you yelled "You can do it Robz" I jumped on the board and rolled unsteadily down the ramp, "oh shit" I screamed as I finally lost balance and stumbled to the bottom, my fall cushioned by your arms open wide, ready to catch me. You leaned in for a kiss and I dived right into it, no phucks given about the people around us as if it was only us two. Before I could roll off your body and beside you onto my back, you grabbed me by my waist and flung me over your shoulders, spinning in circles uncontrollably I couldn't help but cling on to you tightly and laugh. I felt so alive in your arms you just know how to 'make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world'
...I closed the journal and held it to my chest, laying face up on my bed, staring at the ill painted ceiling, I felt my eyes become warmer and begin to tear up. As i blinked the tears fell one by one. Crawling out of my bed and into an empty corner of the room, I huddled there, arms and legs tucked in and my face (wrecked with non-waterproof mascara) buried between my knees. Not ready to let go of the past but too weak to re-live it...
