Hinata woke up the next morning and smiled as she saw him sleeping with his face buried in her neck. His jaw length hair was splayed out all over the place. She smiled softly as she brushed the hair away from his face. "Good morning, Madara..." she whispered as his eyes fluttered open. "Morning, Hinata." He whispered back and hugged her closer to him. "Do you think we should have told your family you woke up?" she asked softly, ashamed they had spent a full day without telling them.

He pursed his lips as he sat up and tapped his chin, only to shake his head and trap Hinata beneath him. She giggled as he showered her lips, jaw, and neck with kisses. "I think they will be just fine. They dealt with me for years, so I think you having to deal with me for a full day without interruptions is fair enough." He said and she smiled up at him. "I feel like it's mean, though." She said and he sighed and flopped back over. "I'm still tired..." he sighed and she sat up and rubbed her thumb over his cheek.

"I understand exactly how you feel. When I woke up I felt so weak and I was so tired... it took me about fifteen minutes to gather the energy to get out of bed." She sighed and he nodded with a deep sigh. "And then I felt like I was going to fall the entire time I was running to get out of here. I was dizzy, weak, and panic stricken. But I ran right into Hashirama... that was where I think I messed up. I think if I hadn't run into him I would have made it out front." She said and he chuckled. "Well if you are worried about me trying to take off and run, everything I would run to is right here beside me." he whispered as he looked up at her from where he lay.

Her eyes softened and she smiled. "Good morning Hinata," the nurse began as she opened the door, but the tray she held fell from her hands, scattering equipment all over the floor. She stared in shock at the sight of his red eyes. Her mouth opened in closed as she tried to find her words. "He's awake." She whispered in awe and he sat up in the bed, with a slight struggle, but he made it. He smiled at her softly, his smile just the slightest tilt of his lips.

"Could you please not inform my family yet, I would like to spend some more time with Hinata before they get here." Madara asked and Hinata offered the nurse a small smile. The nurse nodded rapidly and rushed out of the room. The doctor from the first few days rushed in and he stared at Madara in awe. Hinata didn't really want to talk to the man. She had her reasons. He noticed she didn't want to talk to him so he nodded and left the room.

Madara looked from Hinata who still held an irritated look, to the doctor as he walked away. "What was that about?" he asked and she looked over at him and wrapped her arms around his neck as she hugged him tightly. "He told me that I should give up on you... he wanted me to say goodbye." She whispered and he frowned as he wrapped his arms around her tightly. "While I was out... I wished you would have given up on me and moved on, but I was scared to let you go." He whispered and she pulled back away from him slightly.

"I would never give up on you..." She whispered and he chuckled. "Good to know you're as determined to make this work as I am." He said and she smiled at him. "If I weren't I wouldn't be in this bed with you while you were in a hospital gown now would I?" she asked with a small laugh and he laughed. "And I doubt you would have allowed me to sit in your bed with you in a hospital gown if you hadn't trusted me." he said and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course." She said with a yawn and he chuckled. "Get some more sleep, you need it. You've been doing nothing but stressing over me for months, you deserve it." he said and she smiled at him. "I'm surprised you haven't complained about your hair yet." She said and he pouted and rubbed his eyes with his fingers. "I don't want to think about that right now..." he whispered and she smiled up at him. "What I do want to ask is why you cut your hair..." he said and gave her a look. "I loved your long hair." He said and she smiled, her eyes glowing softly. "Well I love you and I know how much you loved your long hair. I didn't want you to be alone." She whispered as she snuggled into his side.
