{Mariel has just learned that her mother is planning to marry a man out of the blue, and that this man has three kids around her age. Whe she meets the eldest son she didn't expect to fall in love at first sight with him. But their love will soon crash when she learns he not only is her step-brother but her new teacher. What will be of her love and career as a sensational pop star?}
Embarrassing and Unrequited
Mariel looked straight at the camera and smiled a big smile showing off her straight, pearly white teeth. She posed in a proactive stand, as the camera flashed. She hated the flash it always hurt her eyes, and made her feel a bit dizzy. She made another pose she lifted her hands in the air making her fingers into peace signs, the camera flashed. She just felt so dizzy right now, and also very hungry. She hadn’t eaten since the morning. Damn today was packed into a big schedule, since summer was only a few days from ending.
“Good job, Zaide,” the camera man Johnny said.
“Thanks, Johnny,” she said in a surprisingly chirpy voice.
A middle-aged woman came up to her, and gave her a fresh, cold water bottle. Mariel accepted it, and opened it up to drink. She felt so hungry yet she had to be on her diet. It was really hard trying to be a star she had started but only a year ago, and now she was famous. When her debut single came out, she had been famous from just her songs. Her manager David had encouraged (forced) her to become not only an actress, but a model.
“♪A unforeseen darkness clouds my hollow heart, my body a rag doll as I wait patiently for you♫,” she had put her favorite song on for her cellphone it was a cool ringtone and she really liked it. She pressed talk, and her mother’s voice immediately screamed threw her ears.
“Mariel where are you? Did you forget that you were supposed to be in the restaurant Le Italia?” She asked with a furious tone.
Mariel sighed in annoyance, “No mom I didn’t forget, don’t worry I’m already on my way.”
Her mother said a few more words, and then she hanged up on her. Mariel totally forgot about her mother’s party, today she was going to meet her mom’s fiancé Roger Clain. They had been dating for a long time, but since she was always working she never had a chance to meet him in person. Today she was supposed to be at this reunion, with them.
She glanced up to meet the dark onyx eyes of her manager/agent, David. He smiled at her and she felt chills go through her arms. David is the reincarnation of a devil…just kidding, but he does act like one. He has this mean vibe going around him, and that would explain his cool collected attitude. He’s only twenty-eight, yet he looks younger and has a muscular toned figure.
“Mariel, after this you will go to the next photoshoot in the next town,” he said as he typed in his new iPad2.
“Yeez sorry, but my mom just called me because we’re having a reunion as a family,” she smiled innocently.
He looked up, and through his glasses he glared at her. She flinched because her manager really could lose his temper. She just hoped he didn’t lose his temper in front of all these people.
He smiled a freighting cold smirk, and grabbed her arm. He pulled her all the way to her changing room. He let go of her, and then turned slowly with a demonic aura coming out of him.
“What did you say? Do you not know that we have a big schedule I can’t just cancel them,” he told her.
“Oh come on I can do them tomorrow, since I have nothing to do tomorrow,” she reasoned trying to not look away from his menacing expression.
