The whole weekend with Harry was total bliss, and I felt good knowing I was just his. On Sunday I was sad knowing I'd have to go to school tomorrow. All my homework was done thanks to Niall, but he seemed far away. he told Harry and I he had some news to tell us today as not to spoil our weekend since he didn't tell us earlier. Did he see Dolor? Did he attack Niall? I continued to play with the ring on my finger.

Harry sat down on the couch beside me taking my hand. "We'll get through this, okay?"

I nod slowly. "I'm just worried is all. Niall didn't seem hurt yesterday, did he?"

"I don't think anything happened, but he may have seen something." Harry frowns in mirroring frustration to mine.

When Niall comes in I stand. "Niall, what happened?"

"I saw a demon," Niall clenched his jaw. "I'm really worried about Erin."

I widen my eyes. "Why?"

He sits down on one of the chairs. "He's basically best friends with Erin."

I gasp. "Ian..."

Harry stands as well. "Gracie, please, stay with me. Even when we're at meetings or something or tour I need you to be with me."

"Calm down," Niall sighs. "Ian isn't that much of a threat; he doesn't even know you know."

"That isn't the point." Harry growls. "If he can manifest into human form that means he's pretty strong."

"He didn't want me to hurt Erin; his feelings were genuine."

"He lusts after her, Niall. He obviously doesn't want you claiming her yet." Harry shoves a hand through his dark curls and groans.

"I'm still going to school," I turn to Harry putting my hand on his. "I can protect Erin if I need to."

Niall crosses his arms. "How could you do that?"

"I know you're focused on protecting everyone, but you're still human," Harry whispers squeezing my hand.

"I know,"

Niall let out a large sigh. "I really don't think Ian will be a problem,"

"But he could be," Harry adds.

"I'll tell you if something happens," I say.

"Gracie," Harry warns.

"I'll be safe," I whisper.

Harry clenches his jaw but says nothing.

"Niall gave this to me," Harry says taking out a sharp knife out of his pocket.

"That won't affect him much," I mutter. Harry wanted me to stay the night and just leave school from there.

"Look closer," He urges.

I do, and it does look different. It looks sharper, better designed, a purple trim lined the sharp silver. "What is it?" I blink.

Harry smiles. "It's a dagger. Have you ever heard of people who hunt demons?"

"In stories."

"Modern day calls them Exorcists because of what they do. They invented these daggers." He puts a case on it and puts it in my hand. "It's the only real thing that can kill us, or do very serious damage. Keep it with you."

"How did Niall get this?" I put it into my bag.

"A long time ago. He traded it to use as a precaution. Back when he was first sent to look after me. He says you'll need it more than him."

I nod pecking his soft lips; it almost made me want to stay. "Tell him I said thank you."

He smiles sadly. "I will,"

After one quick hug and another kiss I got into my car and drove to school. My hands tightened on the steering wheel. I hoped Erin would be here today. After parking in the parking lot I entered the school looking for Erin.

When I see her in the hall by her locker I put a hand on her shoulder.

"Erin."

She jumps a little and then turns to look at me. "Gracie! You're back!"

I smile trying to seem causal. "Where's Ian?"

"What makes you think I know?" Her smile disappears as she slams her locker.

I didn't flinch. "You guys are like attached to the hip,"

She scoffs. "Yeah, well, not anymore."

She folds her arms. "Can I tell you something? Girl to girl?"

I nod. "Yeah, sure."

She takes a breath. "I sorta went on a date with Niall last Friday. It was amazing, but I saw Ian. Niall didn't think I saw, but I did. They were arguing, but Niall just told me he was being protective." She kicks her locker. "I wish he's stop the annoying big brother act."

I bite my lip trying not to tell her he might like her. Or love her. "Don't hate him too much,"

Erin sighs. "I don't.. hate. But, I just don't want to talk to him right now."

I nod. "Understandable,"

She musters a fake smile, but there was a genuine glint in her eye. "I'm glad you're back, Grace."

"Me too,"
