Chapter 26: Disneyland

The next morning, I was up early getting ready to go to Disneyland with Niall. I had showered and put on a crop top and shorts, while right now I was straightening my hair so that it looked at least half decent.

"You're gonna be okay today," I tell myself, attempting to make myself feel a little better. Sighing, I straighten one last section of my hair and then turn off my flat iron, grabbing my makeup bag as I put the flat iron away. I hum as I put my makeup on, not noticing Niall walk in.

"Are you ready yet?" Niall asks as he sits on the bathroom counter, scrolling through my twitter feed that I just happened to leave open on my phone.

"Does it look like I am?" I ask him, as I start winging out my eyeliner. "This is gonna take me at least another ten minutes, Niall," I say and he nods his head, still scrolling through my twitter feed - when you think it ends, it doesn't. My twitter never ends.

"Why do you wear makeup anyway? You're beautiful without it," smiles Niall and I laugh, putting away the eyeliner and then blending in my face makeup.

"Don't lie to me Niall," I say, after a minute or two of silence. He opens his mouth to say something but then bites his lip instead, an awkward silence filling the air around us. Slightly biting the inside of my cheek, I pack up my makeup and put it away, running my fingers through my hair before turning to face Niall. He hands me my phone and hops down from the counter.

"Ready now?"

I nod my head and a smile grows on his face.

"Yeah, let's go!"

It was now just after one in the afternoon. Niall and I had been at Disneyland for about 4 hours now, enjoying the gorgeous weather, having fun on the rides and meeting some fans. Currently, we were walking through the Magic Kingdom part of the park, excitedly trying to find some of the princesses and their princes.

"By the way Payton," Niall says as he intertwines his fingers with mine, "You look beautiful in the mouse ears."

As soon as he's completed his sentence, a huge smile is on my face.

"Aw Niall," I blush and rest my head on his shoulder as we continue to walk. "You're such a cutie," I giggle, poking his cheek as his face turns a slight shade of red. He really is perfect, I think to myself. I then find myself examining his features, from the tips of his quiff to his nose to his chin ... everything about him is just so perfect. Then suddenly, Niall turns his head and catches me looking at him, and I watch as a big smile grows on his face once more.

"Instead of looking at me, you should be helping me look for some Disney characters."

I blush and look down at my shoes. "But Niall, you're so lovely to look at," I tease, poking his cheek again as he blushes.

"C'mon, let's go find the princesses," he says, still blushing. I laugh and take his hand in mine, leading him to where I think the princesses would be. On our walk, we continue to compliment and tease each other, seeing who could blush the most. We also talked about the park, our families and the other four boys, each topic somehow making us laugh really hard.

"I never thought Liam would be the kind of guy to pull pranks!" I exclaim, continuing the conversation after Niall walked back over to me after taking pictures with some fans. "He's just always so ... calm and quiet."

Niall laughs and takes my hand in his, swinging our interlocked hands as we start walking again. "Well you'd be surprised at the stories we have about Liam and his pranks," he tells me, and I laugh, not wanting the day to end. Out of nowhere, my phone starts to ring in my pocket. I take it out and look at the screen, quite surprised at what's on it.

"Speaking of surprises," I say and show him the screen. "Go into the store over there, I'll meet you there when I'm done," I tell him and he nods his head, obidiently walking into the store while I answer the phone.

"Payton!" an exhausted voice says and I feel extremely guilty.

"Hey Taylor. How are you? You sound tired," I say and she sighs.

"It's been a rough week and a half. How are you?"

"I've been better. I'm guessing you saw the magazines ..."

Taylor sighs once more before replying. "Yes I did and I'd really like to punch the editors in the face," Taylor laughs and I laugh as well. "Anyway, the VMAs are coming up and I need someone to go with. Do you wanna go to the show with me?" she asks and I know this is her way of both apologizing to me and forgiving me. I smile to myself and then answer her.

"I'd be happy to go with you. Text me about it later, I'm kind of out with someone," I say and she makes the "oooo" sound on the other end.

"It's a boy isn't it? Alright, have fun & don't do anything dumb. I love you Payton."

I laugh at her response. "Bye Taylor, I love you too."


At five thirty, Niall and I had arrived back home after a LONG day at the "happiest place on Earth". I think if there were less screaming children and exhausted parents, we would've had an even better time ... but oh well. Anyway, at the moment, Niall and I were chatting in the hallway about our day, completely ignoring the fact that two of the five other people in the house were watching us.

"Was that a camera click?" Niall asks and we both turn our heads, seeing Louis and Rae giggling over the picture they had just taken. Niall laughs and wraps his arms around me, while I bury my face in his chest so that they can't see me.

"Sorry but you guys are just so cute!" Rae exclaims, which makes her and Louis laugh again. Niall's laugh also rings through my ears and makes me smile. I love his laugh so much.

"Can you guys just leave us alone for a minute?" Niall asks and I hear Rae and Louis muffle something as they leave. "They're absolutely crazy," Niall says, shaking his head as we pull apart. I laugh and run a hand through my hair, looking into his eyes as he clears his throat to get my attention.

"I had a great time today, Niall," I smile as he pulls me close to him.

"So did I," he says and wraps his arms around my torso, which makes me wrap my arms around his neck. "Do you wanna do somethin' tomorrow? You know, since it'll be your last day here and all, I'd like to spend some time with you," Niall tells me and I nod before burying my face in his chest.

"I'd love to," I say and I feel his hands play with the ends of my long hair. "How about lunch tomorrow and then a walk around town?" I ask and look up at Niall, watching him process my request.

"Sounds perfect."

I smile and hug him tightly. "Lovely! Now, if you need me, I'll be upstairs having a nap. It's been a long day," I joke and Niall chuckles, then gives me a quick kiss on the cheek.

"We're probably going out to dinner soon, so I'll have Louis come and wake you up in an hour?" Niall questions, then cutely scratches the back of his neck as he waits for me to respond.

"That's perfect. Thanks Niall," I say and kiss him on the cheek before heading upstairs.

I think I'm really falling for him.
