J screams as the two angels come barreling towards her. I take off and catch up to the male quickly. I put him down in just a few seconds then I go after the other one.

"J! Get the hell outta here, and call Lace!" I scream to her.

She breaks out of her frozen trance as I yelled her name and took off running. I knew that the bitch would catch her if I didn't stop her. I finally caught up to the angel. Just two feet behind her. My wings beat harder trying to help me grab her. I reached out and grabbed ahold of her ankle.

I yanked hard, and brought her down to the ground. She hissed in pain when I landed on top of her wing. Before I could finish her off, I checked behind me to make sure that her friend was still out cold.

"You or any others dare come near me, my family, or anyone I love, I swear I will hunt each and every one of you down and make you suffer far worse than Satan or anybody else did."

She hissed back at me and I leaned down, grounding my heels into her wings. I will my hand to heat up, and soon I'm holding a small fireball. I smirked at her and thrust it into her upper wing.

"Beth, come on send her back!" I glanced up and saw Lace standing there with J hiding behind her back.

I sighed a little bit wishing that I could make her suffer more for trying to go after J. I whispered a word into her ear and she disappeared back into Nothing.

J moved from behind Lacey's back and ran up to me. She threw herself on me and wrapped me in a hug. Lace glared at me a little as she headed to the other angel to send him back. I can tell she's disappointed that I went that far. I didn't really care. I was still in shock at how quickly I had created the fireball. That was a first.

I sighed a little bit at the warmth of J's hug. I remembered her terrified face when she saw me earlier and tears started streaming down my face. I sobbed silently so J wouldn't notice and I clung to her. I never wanted to let her go. I vowed then and there that no matter what, she would never get hurt by the hands of an angel.

I climbed into the window after J and looked around. I haven't been in here for a while. I smiled at her wall with the band albums. Before I could say anything, J heads into the bathroom, and leaves me alone in her room.

I sent a quick text to Lace, making sure she got back alright. J offered to let her stay here, but Lace was still too tired from her flight. I was actually kind of glad my twin wasn't here. I wanted to explain more about what happened to J by myself. I also really didn't want to deal with the lecture I was sure to get from Lace about loosing control.

I moved over to her dresser to find some PJ's to wear. I quickly changed into a pair of short shorts and a long sleeve Batman shirt she had. I sat on the bed waiting for her. After a few minutes, J came out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel. I was practically drooling.  I wanted to go and pull the towel off of her, but I stayed still. I didn't want to push her. Besides, we still have a lot to talk about.

She heads over to her dresser and rifles through it a little bit before finding what she was looking for. I gasp a little as she drops the towel. Her body was beautiful. Not that I expected anything less. She glanced over when she heard me and smirked as she put her clothes back on, taking her precious time. She was such a tease. Not that I minded.

Once she was dressed, she came and sat on the bed with me. J fixed herself to where her head was in my lap. I smiled down at this beautiful girl and started to play with her wet red hair. So sexy. As much as I wanted to stay like that forever, I had to tell her what all was going on.

"J, I have to tell you something."

J turns her head to where she can see me, and I smile down at her. I start to explain the story of the angels and she keeps quiet the whole time, listening intently.

"Listen J, I promise that, if you don't want to get involved after I tell you what's going on, I won't blame you. I promise I'll just leave you be. I wasn't completely honest with you before, my job is to protect you, but I also have another one. I'm supposed to save the angels."

J looks hurt when I tell her this. Fuck, I knew I was going to lose her. She was too good for me anyways.

"Why would I leave? As I said before, you're one of the best friends I've ever had, so I'm not going to get rid of that just because you've got a dangerous responsibility. In fact after tonight, I want to stay with you more than ever."

I couldn't believe what she said. She wanted to stay with me! I stroked her hair, "You deserve so much better than me, but I'm so glad that you don't want to leave. I promise I won't let you get hurt."

She smiled at me, "I don't deserve you. I'm so happy I have you though. Thank you for keeping me safe."

I layed down as she said that. I know it wasn't true, but I'm glad that she thinks so. I fell asleep happier than I had ever been before, with J in my arms.
